Former President Donald Trump claimed early Wednesday that Iran is making ongoing attempts to have him assassinated.

“Big threats on my life by Iran. The entire U.S. Military is watching and waiting,” Trump, 78, wrote on Truth Social — just hours after Ryan Wesley Routh was charged with attempting to assassinate on a golf course earlier this month.

In both the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, pollsters underestimated Donald Trump’s level of support. Using 538‘s election day polling averages, the Democratic candidate’s national lead over Trump was 3.9 points lower than the polls predicted in 2020 and 1.8 points lower in 2016. This pattern looks set to continue with Kamala Harris in 2024, and part of the issue stems from how pollsters estimate turnout.

Donald Trump, at the time of writing, has a 47pc chance of winning November’s US election. On July 16, three days after the Republican presidential candidate narrowly avoided death at a Pennsylvania rally, it peaked at 72pc. At the start of the year it was around 40pc.

These numbers are based on close to $1bn (£750m) wagered on Polymarket, a cryptocurrency-based predictions website, by wannabe super-forecasters who believe they can beat the polls.

Senate Democrats are worried pollsters are once again undercounting the Trump vote and say Vice President Harris’s slim lead in battleground states, especially Pennsylvania, is cause for serious concern.

UNIONDALE, NY – The shift of two major New York City suburbs to the political right could be a boon for former President Trump on Election Day, according to insiders on both sides of the aisle.

As he queued for Donald Trump’s town hall rally in Flint, Michigan, on Tuesday night he pointed to his “Fight” T-shirt featuring the famous photo of a bloodied Trump raising his fist after the attempt on his life in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July.

“Yes, we’ll see a war,” Quintanilla, a 26-year-old painter, said. “I hope not, but I think we will, and I’m going to fight for him because he’s my president … Trump is loved out here. The Dems hate him because they’re scared they’re going to lose, and they want him gone.”

The 2nd attempt combined with the media’s crass efforts to blame the victim will along with the rigged debate silently swing voters to Trump.

The choice gets easier every day.

President Trump’s common-sense policies are much more popular (and help people of all races and income levels) than Kamala Harris’s, the latter of whom believes that the government is the solution to everything.

Trump wants a smaller government, while Harris wants a much bigger government which greedily confiscates an ever-increasing share of the money we earn.
