Dan Rogers, the head of Canada’s Center for Strategic and International Studies, had a friendly meeting recently with the CEO of the National Council of Canadian Muslims, Stephen Brown. They got together to discuss ways that the Canadian government could combat “Islamophobia,” but for Rogers, the timing of this meeting was not just bad; it was catastrophic.
Dan Elkayam was a young French engineer from Le Bourget, in Seine-Saint-Denis, today almost devoid of Jews. On the first night of Hanukkah, like many young Jews far from home, he went to forge a bond with his people during the lighting of the Hanukkah menorah. As bullets began to fly, Dan rushed to shield a little girl with his own body and died under the terrorists’ gunfire.
Holocaust survivor Alex Kleytman was killed while protecting his wife Larisa. Both Alex and Larisa survived the Holocaust as children: Alex had to endure “terrible conditions” in Siberia. Years of malnutrition and cramped conditions left Kleytman partially disabled.
It should have just been a routine arrest, but within minutes the air of southern Minneapolis was thick with pepper spray, tear gas and snowballs.
The pepper spray and tear gas was being fired by immigration agents, who had been cornered by dozens of protesters. One of them radioed the county sheriff in a panic, claiming they were being attacked.
The snowballs were being flung by the demonstrators, outraged by what one of them described to The Telegraph as the officers’ heavy-handed tactics as they arrested at least two people.
Politicians and pundits are everywhere right now, warning of the risk of Islamophobia in the wake of the Hanukkah massacre in Sydney, Australia, last weekend. There was Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez on X on Monday, decrying that “the normalization and acceptance of Islamophobia in our politics is disgusting.” And rabid pro-Palestinian commentator Mehdi Hasan, also on X, reminding readers that “Islamophobia is always wrong” as he performatively condemned the Bondi Beach killings.
In early November, Sajid Akram, 50, and his bricklayer son Naveed, 24, travelled from Australia to the Philippines. Their destination was Davao, a city in Mindanao, the second-largest of the Philippines’ many thousands of islands — and a region in which the notorious terror organisation Islamic State is regrouping. Here, the Akrams spent four weeks receiving military-style training.
When they returned to Australia, the pair perpetrated the worst terrorist massacre in the nation’s history — murdering 15 people at a Hanukkah celebration on Bondi Beach, turning what should have been a day of bright, joyful warmth into a day of horror. If it weren’t for the bravery of citizens in thwarting the attack, the death count would have been far higher.

Confronted at very short notice with the need to respond to an egregious hate crime – the slaughter in Sydney of 15 Jews by radical Islamists – Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese completely exposed the moral vacuum at the heart of Western democracy.
Instead of damning the perpetrators for what they were, he blathered on about a general confrontation with extremism — right-wing extremism, no less — and the need for harsher gun laws.

This initiative also exposes her as using her office to advocate for federal employees “speaking out on Palestinian issues.”

It may be too early for an in-depth analysis of the horrific attack on a Hanukkah gathering at Australia’s famous Bondi Beach, beyond the obvious fact that it was yet another act of Islamist terror, the latest in a long line of attacks meant to murder Jews. But it’s not too early to draw a single, transparently obvious conclusion. The Bondi Beach attack totally undermines the common progressive focus on the guns rather than the shooters.
The guns at Bondi Beach didn’t simply jump out of a car and begin shooting on their own. They were brought to the location by a father and son team of Islamist terrorists who used them to murder 15 people, including a ten-year-old girl who was deliberately targeted as she tried to run away.
A survey from the French Institute of Public Opinion (Ifop) has found that at least one in three Muslims living in France believe that the Sharia law should be instituted globally.
In a follow up to its annual survey of Muslim opinion in France, Ifop released another poll of 1,005 Muslims over the age of 15 to specifically examine “the influence of political Islamism” in the country, notably through the Muslim Brotherhood, which the French government has accused of engaging in a decades-long campaign to undermine Western civilization.
Islamists are waging a low-level holy war against ordinary Germans and their traditions.
The ‘fact checkers’ have been busy in Germany. For weeks, they have been working overtime to dismiss claims about the slow death of the German Christmas market. ‘No, Christmas markets are not being cancelled en masse’, writes the fact-checking team at public broadcaster ZDF. Another ZDF article warns that ‘fake news about Christmas markets is going viral’. The message is clear: move along, nothing to see here.
A section of the Trump administration’s recently released National Security Strategy titled “Promoting European Greatness” warns that Europe faces the “stark prospect of civilizational erasure,” making the continent “unrecognizable in 20 years or less.” It blames (among other issues like economic decline) transnational bodies like the European Union for undermining “political liberty and sovereignty, migration policies that are transforming the continent and creating strife, censorship of free speech and suppression of political opposition, cratering birthrates, and loss of national identities and self-confidence.”
In a UK Guardian piece last weekend called “The facts are stark: Europe must open the door to migrants, or face its own extinction,” columnist George Monbiot argued that, contrary to the White House view that European migration policies are “creating strife” and leading to “loss of national identities,” what will save European civilization from erasure is – wait for it – more mass immigration.
Do you know what the Jewish community in Australia (not to mention Canada, the UK and across Europe) have been asking for over and over again? Stop Muslim mobs from harassing and terrorizing Jewish schools, shops and communities.
REMINDER: This crowd of Pro-Hamas Australians were standing outside the Sydney Opera House screaming “Gas the Jews” just one day after the October 7 Massacre.
