I’m a student in one of Britain’s largest high schools and know no one who supports Israel over Palestine. Some readers might find that shocking. Consider, though, how my generation gets its news. TikTok is today by far the preferred source of news for teenagers; YouTube is next, Instagram third. Studies show the average teen spends two hours every day glued to their screens. Few my age buy or read a newspaper, or would ever think of doing so. Even the idea of sitting down to watch TV news seems alien to us. We view the world through smartphones; we understand current affairs through video snippets.

The Hamas terrorists who attacked Israel on October 7 did not slaughter Jews alone. The terrorists also murdered and kidnapped scores of Muslim citizens of Israel, including members of the Bedouin community. The terrorists’ murder spree made zero distinction between young and old, Muslim and Jew.

More than 1,200 Israelis were murdered in the massacre, while another 240 were kidnapped and taken to the Gaza Strip as hostages. Of these, scores of Arab Israelis were murdered, wounded or taken hostage. Among the kidnapped is Aisha al-Ziadna, a 16-year-old Muslim citizen of Israel.

Amid renewed conflict in Gaza, a startling number of queer progressives are romanticizing Palestinians and playing down their hatred towards LGBTQ people. This whitewashing is wrong, no matter how legitimate Palestinian calls for self-determination may be.

One of the recently released hostages was held for 50 days in the attic of an UNRWA teacher, Channel 13 News correspondent Almog Boker reported.

“Uninvolved,” they say, right? Well, read this story carefully. One of the abductees, held for nearly 50 days in an attic, reveals he was held by a UNRA teacher – a father of ten children. This teacher locked the victim away, barely provided food, and neglected medical needs,” Boker wrote on X (Formerly Twitter).

A 24-year-old woman, a 73-year-old man, and an additional victim were murdered Thursday morning in a shooting attack at one of the entrances to Jerusalem.

Magen David Adom (MDA) reported that five additional victims were moderately injured. Shaare Zedek Medical Center and Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center have received eight victims who were evacuated from the scene. Two of the victims suffered light injuries, one suffered moderate injuries, and five suffered serious injuries.

Despite lack of formal agreement: Ceasefire extended, 8 hostages to be released

Why do the West’s ‘pro-Palestine’ supporters refuse to recognise the suffering of the Israeli hostages?

Israeli citizens suffered a double blow on 7 October. First came the brutal Hamas terrorist attack in which 1,200 people were slaughtered and a further 240 taken hostage. Then, within hours, came the dreadful response of far too many in the West.

The streets of Western capitals soon filled not with marches in solidarity with the murdered and abducted, but with ‘pro-Palestine’ celebrations and protests. University campuses and social media were flooded not with support for Jewish people, but with a wave of anti-Semitism.

No American should need to be reminded that our government has designated Hamas a terrorist organization. But apparently one very important American does need to be reminded.

That would be Joe Biden.

The atrocities committed by the terrorist group Hamas in Israel on October 7 aroused fear and horror throughout the West. As soon as the Israeli government decided to retaliate and announced that it seeks to destroy Hamas, “the new ISIS”, fear and horror began to fade and rapidly gave way to a return of “the world’s oldest hatred”.
