UK’s woke Left in toxic alliance with Hamas, says British-born Israeli politician

“Woke” Left-wing activists have formed a “toxic alliance” with Islamic fundamentalists to stoke anti-Semitism in the UK, Israel’s most senior British-born politician has told The Telegraph.

In an interview, Fleur Hassan-Nahoum also branded the United Nations as “the worst” after its women’s group was accused of taking 57 days to condemn the “brutal attacks by Hamas” on Israel on Oct 7 including the rape of Israeli women.

Pennsylvania governor slams anti-Semitic mob who screamed ‘You can’t hide, we charge you with genocide’ into Jewish-owned Philly restaurant

An anti-Semitic mob was blasted by Pennsylvania’s governor for screaming threats into a Jewish-owned falafel store in Philadelphia.

The group marched at the Goldie’s location in Center City chanting: ‘Goldie, Goldie you can’t hide, we charge you with genocide.’

The Philadelphia chain is owned by Mike Solomonov, an Israeli-born, Pittsburgh raised chef who has won the James Beard Award in the past.

Howard Levitt: University campuses an unsurprising maelstrom in response to Israel-Hamas war

The Israel-Hamas war has ignited a maelstrom of legal activity in workplaces and, for today’s purposes, on university campuses.

There are now class-action lawsuits pending against at least three Canadian universities alleging that, for many years, a culture of anti-Semitism has made their campus environments intolerable for Jewish students, most egregiously since Oct. 7. Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) protests and radical leftist student councils passing motions and taking other overt actions against their Jewish members created the tinder which has now ignited.

Why the far left sides with Hamas

The great fault of the global left is not that it supports Hamas. For how could western left-wing movements or left-inclining charities or academic bodies truly support Hamas if they were serious about their politics?

No one outside the most reactionary quarters of Islam shares Hamas’s aim of forcing the people of the world to accept ‘the sovereignty of Islam’ or face ‘carnage, displacement and terror’ if they refuse. You cannot be a progressive and campaign for a state that executes gay men. An American left, which includes in its ranks the Queers for Palestine campaign group, cannot seriously endorse lethal homophobia in its own country. Their kind will turn a blind eye in Palestine, but not in New York or Chicago. No left-wing organisation proudly honours the Protocols of the Elders of Zion and the fascist tradition Hamas embraces, although in a sign of a decay that has been building on the left for more than a generation, many will promulgate left-wing conspiracy theories which are as insane as their fascist counterparts.

Israel Plans to Kill Hamas Leaders Around the World After War

TEL AVIV—Israel’s intelligence services are preparing to kill Hamas leaders around the world when the nation’s war in the Gaza Strip winds down, setting the stage for a yearslong campaign to hunt down militants responsible for the Oct. 7 massacres, Israeli officials said.

With orders from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s top spy agencies are working on plans to hunt down Hamas leaders living in Lebanon, Turkey and Qatar, the small Gulf nation that has allowed the group to run a political office in Doha for a decade, the officials said.

Can Hamas really be ‘eliminated’?

The EU’s top diplomat Josep Borrell offered a provocative insight into the nature of Hamas this week. Speaking at the Union of the Mediterranean Forum, Borrell said that: ‘Hamas is not merely a group of individuals but an unkillable idea and ideology.’ This view is a worrying one for Israel as it seeks, in the words of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to ‘eliminate’ Hamas. But what if Borell is right that Hamas cannot be destroyed?

Amid rising antisemitism, the view for Jews in Canada looks bleak – opinion

Over the last month and a half, Jews around the world have gotten incredible clarity on the status of global antisemitism.

The view from Canada is chilling. Massive pro-Palestinian and even pro-Hamas protests feature thousands of furious people calling unequivocally for genocide – the extermination of Israel “from the river to the sea.”

Police ‘surrounded’ by protesters after making arrests at pro-Hamas march in London

Police were “surrounded” by demonstrators and prevented from leaving after making two arrests at a pro-Palestine march in London, the Met Police said.

The force said it arrested one man for a racially aggravated public order offence in Windrush Square, Brixton, because of a placard he was carrying.

When police attempted to leave the area with him, protesters blocked their path before they were removed by other officers.

USS Carney, multiple commercial ships attacked in the Red Sea: Pentagon

A US warship and multiple commercial vessels were attacked in the Red Sea on Sunday, the Pentagon said — a frightening development ratcheting up maritime tensions in the Middle East during the Israel-Hamas war.

The USS Carney — which previously shot down missiles and drones aimed at it as it escorted a commercial vessel through the war-torn region — was targeted along with at least two other commercial ships starting around 10 a.m. local time in an assault that lasted about five hours, the Pentagon and an unnamed US official said, according to The Associated Press. It was not immediately clear whether the American warship was struck.

What Arab Nations Are Reportedly Saying to Israel in Private Is Quite Interesting

It feeds into everything that’s been reported about Israel’s Arab neighbors and why they don’t want Palestinian refugees roaming wild in their country: they bring trouble. The late King Hussein had to declare war on them and successfully drove them out. The problem is the Palestinian Liberation Organization set up shop in Lebanon, where they caused problems for the government while also attacking Israel from the southern part of the country. Israel had to invade in 1982 and remained in Southern Lebanon until 2000. Egypt has closed its border with the Gaza Strip in Rafah due to terrorism concerns.

Paris Terrorist Screamed Allahu Akbar, Has Prior Terror Conviction, Suffers Psychiatric Issues, Seeks Relationship With That Special Someone

… Mr Darmanin said the alleged attacker was heard shouting “Allahu Akbar”, Arabic for “God is greatest”, and told police he was upset because “so many Muslims are dying in Afghanistan and in Palestine”.

He said the suspect served four years in jail after being convicted for planning another attack in 2016 and was on the French security services watchlist.

The man was also known to have suffered psychiatric disorders, Mr Darmanin said.

On Saturday, a video was posted on social media in which the suspect criticised the French government and discussed what he described as the murder of innocent Muslims, AFP news agency reports.

Israel ‘using Hamas prisoners to track down terror chiefs’

The Israeli military’s coming push into southern Gaza is driven by the belief that intelligence gleaned from hundreds of militants captured during the fighting in the north will allow them to find and kill leaders of Hamas.

Israel’s politicians and generals believe that taking out top commanders – and leader Yahya Sinwar – is their best chance of forcing the collapse of an organisation that is deeply embedded in Gaza, after nearly two decades controlling the enclave.

Two serving military officials with knowledge of strategy for the next phase confirmed there would be an intense focus on using new intelligence to target Hamas leaders.

Israeli Negotiators Recalled from Qatar after Talks with Hamas Hit ‘Dead End’

Israel is recalling its negotiating team from Qatar after talks with Hamas reached a “dead end.”

“Due to the dead end in negotiations, and following instructions from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Mossad head David Barnea ordered the negotiating team in Doha to return home,” a public statement released Saturday afternoon noted. “The Hamas terror group did not fulfill its obligations under the agreement that included releasing all the women and children that were on the list provided to Hamas that had authorized it.”

American Jews Never Learned to Fight Leftist Jew-Hatred

And talking about ‘anti-Semitism’ is part of the problem.

After the Holocaust, the American Jewish community, like most liberals, reduced the mass murder of millions of Jews to a problem of intolerance and prejudice. A massive effort was undertaken to educate about what had happened rather than what was happening.

While the first Holocaust museums were being built, the persecution and killing of Jews had mostly shifted over to the Soviet Union and its allies in the Arab Muslim world. American Jews failed to grapple with this shift much as they failed to come to terms with the reality that black nationalist groups were quickly eclipsing the KKK when it came to the domestic hatred of Jews.

These are the key ingredients that led to the current open climate of Jew-hatred in America.

A Warning Sign for the West

When I was initially invited to present this talk, I was asked to highlight the rise of antisemitism in Europe. Even then, I suspected it might be rather short, given the overwhelming evidence that antisemitism appeared to be growing more than any other racial prejudice. And then we had the attacks of October 7, 2023. Quite possibly the talk is now moot.

I would like to preface this address with a personal experience, which bears on all we are discussing, particularly from my perspective as a Catholic priest. Some know of my work during the last 9 years—full time since 2016—working for aid/advocacy for persecuted Christians throughout the world, especially in the Middle East. I am certainly the only Catholic priest in the English-speaking world doing this work full time, and I am grateful to the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham for allowing me to pursue this ministry and vocation: allowing me but not paying me.
