Fentanyl made in Canada by criminals is increasingly being shipped to international markets, according to a briefing note from the department of foreign affairs.
“Seizures of Canada-sourced fentanyl in places like the U.S. and Australia suggest that domestic production is likely exceeding domestic demand, and that Canada is now a source (and transit) country for fentanyl to some markets,” said the briefing note from June, which was first obtained by Blacklock’s Reporter.

A Canadian snowboarder who competed at the 2002 Winter Olympics is wanted by the F.B.I. on charges of conspiring to ship hundreds of kilograms of cocaine into Canada and the United States and on suspicion of orchestrating multiple murders, the U.S. attorney’s office for the Central District of California announced in a statement on Thursday.
The snowboarder, Ryan James Wedding, 43, born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, was indicted along with 15 others on charges of running a transnational drug trafficking operation that shipped bulk quantities of cocaine from California to Canada from about January to April 2024, the U.S. attorney’s office said in its statement. Mr. Wedding, a fugitive who was believed to be living in Mexico, was charged with eight felonies including one count of conspiracy to export cocaine and three counts of murder in connection with a drug crime.
Police north of Toronto have released video of what they’re describing as a violent, targeted robbery in Thornhill, where suspects boxed in the victim’s car and made off with a suitcase filled with cash.

The agency’s process is shrouded in mystery, and its numbers are often inconsistent.
The mainstream media has recently trumpeted the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s estimate that violent crime fell 3 percent nationally from 2022 to 2023. They have largely ignored, however, the latest iteration of the Bureau of Justice Statistics’ National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS), which found a 9 percent increase in property crime in urban areas over that span—part of a 26 percent rise in urban property crime, alongside a whopping 40 percent surge in urban violent crime, from 2019 to 2023.
Set aside, for a moment, the media’s downplaying of BJS’s inconvenient urban-crime data. Are the FBI’s statistics really precise enough to make much of a reported 3 percent annual change in violent crime?

A quiet community two hours northwest of Edmonton became a site of true human horror last month when a young woman of only 18 — dressed for a night out in the city, not a weekend of camping — was found bleeding from numerous stab wounds in a ditch. Her attackers had dumped her there to die.

To prevent homicide in Toronto, we must start with addressing grief in Black communities
Homicide grief among Black communities in Canada has reached pandemic proportions — and it requires an urgent, co-ordinated public health response.

After the Justice Department recently released two reports documenting crime trends in the U.S., the liberal media seized on the less accurate of the two to portray crime as being down in spite of violent crime rates (primarily in Democrat-run parts of the country) actually being up compared to five years earlier. And aggravated assault levels appear higher than they’ve been in decades.
Just call them the alleged Honey Pot Five.

In the 57-page indictment against Mayor Eric Adams, on which Haley and David report, the five statutory charges are set forth at the end, starting at page 49. The penalties aggregate to a potential 45 years’ imprisonment.
To be clear, that is the statutory maximum (the minimum is zero time). Federal sentencing is controlled by the Sentencing Guidelines. For conviction on some of all these charges, the guidelines would no doubt call for a stiff penalty, but would unlikely be close to 45 years.
Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted by a grand jury on charges connected to a federal probe that has shaken his administration, sources told The Post.
The historic indictment is expected to be unsealed Thursday by US Attorney Damian Williams, according to the sources. The news was first reported by The New York Times.
Adams will surrender to authorities early next week, sources said.
Driven by fake credit applications and identity theft, automotive fraud has surged 54 percent from a year ago, a report from Equifax Canada has found.
