WHO chief ‘believes Covid DID leak from Wuhan lab’ after a ‘catastrophic accident’ in 2019 despite publicly maintaining ‘all hypotheses remain on the table’

Research into gain-of function at Wuhan Institute of Virology most likely cause of pandemic.

The head of the World Health Organisation privately believes the Covid pandemic started following a leak from a Chinese laboratory, a senior Government source claims.

While publicly the group maintains that ‘all hypotheses remain on the table’ about the origins of Covid, the source said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), had recently confided to a senior European politician that the most likely explanation was a catastrophic accident at a laboratory in Wuhan, where infections first spread during late 2019.

Why Are Thousands of Flights Being Canceled at America’s Airports?

The summer travel season is off to a rocky start for America’s largest air carriers. Over the five-day Memorial Day weekend, more than 2,800 flights were canceled for one reason or another, with severe weather playing only a small part.

Meanwhile in Canada… Airport authorities didn’t expect ‘pent up demand for air travel’ this early

OTTAWA – Flying the friendly skies could bring more frowns than smiles this summer, as volumes are expected to increase while many bottlenecks still remain and the airline industry struggles to staff up.

Liberals block release of data to justify travel restrictions

According to Blacklock’s Reporter, during Thursday’s House of Commons transport committee, NDP MP Taylor Bachrach sponsored a motion requesting “a copy of all relevant documents containing public health advice and scientific modeling received by the Minister of Transport” used to justify quarantines, masking, mandatory vaccination and other measures.

“All of a sudden there was a decision to suspend the mandates without really an explanation of what changed,” Bachrach explained.

Pfizer Stops Covid Pill Trial After Latest Results Showed It DID NOT Reduce Symptoms, Hospitalizations, or Deaths

According to a statement by the company, Pfizer has stopped COVID pill trial after the latest results showed that it did not reduce symptoms, hospitalizations and deaths.

Pfizer has stated it will halt participation in a clinical trial for Paxlovid, its COVID-19 antiviral medication, for standard-risk COVID-19 patients after the most recent findings revealed the medication did not numerically greatly lower symptoms, hospitalizations, or fatalities.

In more than 65 nations, including the United States, Paxlovid, a combination of the antivirals nirmatrelvir and ritonavir, is presently approved or authorized for conditional or emergency use in the treatment of COVID-19 patients at high risk of developing severe illness, including hospitalization or death.

At least they’re consistent. I wonder what the side effects are?

Ooog…

My brother is currently in the Hospice at Sunnybrook.

While his spirit remains admirably strong he is now bed ridden as he can no longer stand on his own.

Just last week they loosened up the visitor restrictions allowing all vaxxed friends and relatives to stop by. Prior to that only his wife, myself and his children were allowed to see him.

Well now he is in isolation as there has been a covid outbreak on the wing. He’s been tested but we won’t know the results until tomorrow.

This will restrict his visitors again, likely to his immediate care-giver, his wife. I am her wheels so am there throughout the week.

It never rains but it pours.

Currently, federal employees are considered fully vaccinated if they have two doses of one of Health Canada’s approved vaccines.

Lockdown Damage: Empirical evidence demonstrates that shutting down economies and schools brought little benefit and much harm.

Did the Covid lockdowns save lives? Statistics can help answer the question.

In April, free-market economists Phil Kerpen, Stephen Moore, and Casey B. Mulligan published a working paper for the National Bureau of Economic Research entitled “A Final Report Card on the States’ Response to COVID-19.” Their report considered three variables for all 50 states and Washington, D.C.: health outcomes (measured by adjusted mortality), economic performance throughout the pandemic (measured by unemployment and GDP), and the pandemic effect on education (measured by the percentage of cumulative in-person instruction). The authors investigated the relationships among the three variables using simple linear regression, a tool to summarize and study relationships between two continuous variables. This method yields a correlation coefficient that rates both the strength and the direction of the relationship between the two variables.

FUREY: Be on guard for attempts to bring back COVID rules this fall

Canada’s woefully short summer is now in full swing and it would be a killjoy thing to do to ask people to stop and ponder whether or not we’ll soon be back to governments eyeing a return to COVID-19 restrictions. But the question needs to be asked.
