Mayhem in Montreal: COVID-19 Riots Shake Canada

Some Canadians have had enough of the lockdowns.

While the United States dealt with yet another night of violent rioting in response to a police shooting in Minnesota, riots were also occurring in Montreal, for a different reason.

Montreal is no stranger to turmoil and rioting, but Sunday’s culprits were anti-lockdown protesters, not Quebecois nationalists. The protests were in response to a new 8 p.m curfew in the city as a result of increased community spread of COVID-19, with dissidents chanting “Freedom for the young.” It seems the French revolutionary spirit has not completely left the Montrealers; their actions included setting fires and smashing storefronts. There were seven arrests and over 100 citations for violation of public health rules.

Michigan’s worst-ever COVID-19 surge could be thanks to Ontario: Expert

Michigan has become the new epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S., with one health expert linking the surge to the spread of the U.K. variant from the neighbouring Canadian province of Ontario.

Data compiled by John Hopkins University shows that Michigan is currently recording the highest daily infections per capita in the United States, averaging 7,359 new cases per day over the past week.

The province also reported 15 additional deaths, brining the confirmed death toll to 7,582.

Ontario reported 4,401 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday and a record of 4,456 on Sunday.

More than 100 passengers arriving at Vancouver International Airport have refused to quarantine at a government-authorized hotel since the “mandatory” three-day quarantine was introduced on Feb. 22.

This comes as the B.C. Centre for Disease Control reported 23 flights either departing or arriving at Vancouver International Airport with a COVID-sick passenger on board since the start of April.

Chinese Flu sufferer criticized for calling it Chinese flu

A Town of Essex councillor has triggered anger among many locally and far beyond after posting on Twitter about testing positive for “the Chinese Flu.”

Chris Vander Doelen, who retired five years ago from the Windsor Star and has served on council since being elected in 2018, posted the following on Friday: “Damn. My test for the Chinese flu came back positive. So I hafta lay low for another week — a punishment worse than the illness proved to be.”

I wonder how many of those critics are tied to the CCP?

Montreal’s earlier curfew met with protest and rioting

The province is in a sprint to the finish to administer the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines, so Quebecers should continue to obey the curfew and other rules until then, Health Minister Christian Dubé told a television audience on Sunday evening as an earlier curfew went into effect in Montreal and Laval and protesters in Old Montreal set fires and smashed store windows.

Dr. Marty Makary of Johns Hopkins says that based on the data, specifically the infection mortality rate, he estimates that two-thirds of the country has already had the infection. Natural immunity is something the experts do not talk about because herd immunity means the end to them telling us what to do. That was never the case. These lab coat fascists never could tell us what to do.
