When I was very young, I was manipulated into sex reassignment (also known as sex/gender correction or sex/gender transition) by a transsexual man in his mid-40s.

For several years he gave me puberty blockers – dangerous substances that block the effects of testosterone – and hormones of the opposite sex, i.e. estrogens.

Just before I turned 18, a psychologist, psychiatrist, and sexologist, after one visit, without any tests, fabricated a diagnosis of transsexualism and referred me, officially, for a sex change, which should never have happened.

Fairness for women athletes doesn’t consist in simply suppressing testosterone levels in male athletes. Male advantages over females persist, to say nothing of the insulting suggestion that male mediocrity is equivalent to female excellence. This ought to be obvious, but it has taken several high-profile cases of male athletes’ disrupting female competitions for sports-governing bodies to confront the absurdity of their policies.

A British Columbia father who was in and out of court for five years pursuing legal attempts to stop his teenaged child from getting cross-sex hormones is celebrating after what he calls a “big win” in court.

In a decision delivered on Aug. 9, the B.C. Court of Appeal declared C.D., as he is known in court documents, would not have to pay a $30,000 fine or serve the remainder of a six-month jail sentence for criminal contempt. He spent 69 days in jail before being released on bail and was incarcerated one more day before his hearing on May 31.

A transgender activist brought the men’s road race at the Cycling World Championships to a halt on Sunday, protesting about petrochemical sponsorship and the exclusion of transgender athletes.

A woman whose surgery was cancelled because she demanded same-sex care has claimed she could have been killed by the delay.
