Neil Herland has worked for the CBC, Canada’s state-owned media corporation, for 29 years. He is also Jewish. And today, for the first time in his 29-year career, his employer has taken him off the air, seemingly at the behest of a Muslim advocacy organization. What the hell is going on with freedom of speech in Canada?
