Idaho Gov. Brad Little has signed legislation into law aiming to ensure that residents are not unknowingly complicit in China’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience.

As of July 1, it will be illegal in Idaho for health insurers to cover an organ transplant or post-transplant care performed in China or any country known to have participated in forced organ harvesting. The legislation (H 670), which was passed unanimously by the state Senate and House earlier this month, was signed by Mr. Little on April 10.

A publication of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence brings lefty bromides and cross-dresser testimonials to our national-security apparatus.

Last year, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) announced a significant increase in the hiring of minorities, women, and persons with disabilities across the 17 agencies that make up the U.S. intelligence community. Then last month, the ODNI’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Office relaunched The Dive as a quarterly magazine to highlight the “great work happening across the Intelligence Community.” The cartoonish magazine seeks to “empower every employee to speak their truth.” Aside from the grammatical error, it is ominous that the office of the director of America’s intelligence community believes that each employee is entitled to his version of the truth.

“CO2 is not a bad gas,” says Valentina Zharkova, a Professor at the Northumbria University in Newcastle, U.K. On the contrary, she points out, every garden centre uses it in its greenhouses to make plants lush and green. “We actually have a CO2 deficit in the world, and it’s three to four times less than the plants would like,” she notes, adding that the proportion of CO2 in the atmosphere has been at much higher levels throughout our planet’s history than it is now.

Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly says she’s urging Israel to de-escalate rising conflicts in the Middle East and not bomb Iran in retaliation for this past weekend’s thwarted airstrikes.

Ms. Joly says she told Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz to “take the win” of having stopped Iranian airstrikes and to not respond with a direct attack on Iran.

New NPR CEO Katherine Maher tried to rally the troops on Friday with a memo to staff that vaguely attacked NPR senior editor Uri Berliner’s expose of the taxpayer-funded network’s viewpoint diversity. She never actually mentioned Berliner, or seemed to engage with his overall argument.

Instead, she vaguely expressed insult at Berliner noting the existence of a pile of identity groups among the employees: “Questioning whether our people are serving our mission with integrity, based on little more than the recognition of their identity, is profoundly disrespectful, hurtful, and demeaning.”

The University of Waterloo’s department of Pure Mathematics is hiring for an esteemed position — but applicants must self-identify as women, transgender, gender-fluid, nonbinary or two-spirit.

John Wayne Bobbitt, who attainted notoriety in 1993 after his then-wife severed his penis while he slept, has now lost 10 more appendages – his toes.

Bobbitt has been diagnosed with toxic peripheral polyneuropathy after being exposed to contaminated water at Camp Lejeune military base in North Carolina in the late 1980s.

The condition causes nerve damage to extremities, which has led to the amputation of his toes over a period of several years. The last few digits were removed in 2023.
