It was a pleasant evening in Toronto’s well-to-do downtown Annex neighbourhood last Wednesday as the usual mix of University of Toronto students, local residents and visitors strolled up and down Bloor Street to restaurants and other local amenities. There was one unusual event, however, as some pedestrians turned down a side street where, a few doors from the main drag, they found their way to the Tranzac Club.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has included Turning Point USA (TPUSA) in its “extremism and hate glossary,” drawing sharp criticism from supporters and a wave of backlash across social media platforms.
The ADL, which describes its mission as combating antisemitism and securing justice and fair treatment for all, cited TPUSA’s alleged promotion of conspiracy theories, support for Christian nationalism, and attraction of racist elements as key reasons for its classification.
ELON MUSK responds to the ADL labeling Turning Point USA and “Christian Identity” as terrorists and hate groups.
“The ADL hates Christians. Therefore, THEY are a hate group.”

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has slammed “fat generals” and diversity initiatives that he says has led to decades of decay in the military.
Mr Hegseth made the comments at a rare gathering of commanders on Tuesday, local time.
“Foolish and reckless political leaders set the wrong compass heading and we lost our way,” Mr Hegseth said as he kicked off the event in Quantico, Virginia.
“We became the ‘Woke Department’. But not anymore.”

A British blogger has been arrested at his home for sharing a meme saying “F–k Hamas.”
Pete North, 47, shared a video of police arriving at his home in Yorkshire late last Thursday and telling him he was being arrested because he “posted something on the internet” which someone from their hate crime team “didn’t appreciate.”
Even though his meme also said “f–k Palestine” and “f–k Islam,” the cops seemed most focused on him offending the terror group behind the Oct. 7 massacre in Israel, North told the Telegraph.

A Russell Group university has placed a trigger warning on the 1967 film The Graduate for containing “some sexual scenes”.
The Oscar-winning rom-com tells the story of freshly graduated Benjamin Braddock, played by Dustin Hoffman, who is seduced by the older, married Mrs Robinson, portrayed by Anne Bancroft.
In the most famous line from the film, Benjamin exclaims, “Mrs Robinson, you’re trying to seduce me… aren’t you?”, before he eventually falls in love with Mrs Robinson’s daughter, Elaine.
