Toronto Renamed a Park to Honor ‘First Peoples,’ and It’s a Disaster

This may be old news to Torontonians, but it’s worth sharing because I’ll bet you’ve never heard this one, and it’s a prime example of so much we see from the left these days.

First off, some of the nice things about the new Woodsy Park in Toronto were its amenities, which included a field, a playground, a firepit, a skate trail, a splash pad, and, with a hat tip to those Canadians, it’s well-maintained and very clean. Another nice thing about it was its name – “Woodsy.” That was easy to remember, and it just sounded nice, you know, woodsy, even though there weren’t a lot of trees.

There’s far more racism in no-go Dewsbury than in the countryside

I LIVE in an idyllic village just a 15-minute drive from the wondrous (under-appreciated, if racist) Yorkshire Wolds. Another 15 minutes gets me into the wild North York Moors or lovely Howardian Hills (both also white supremacist/racist).

It’s a tad further to the racist Yorkshire Dales, but well before then I’d be in Britain’s greatest historic city, York, and who can bypass an afternoon (or a day, a weekend) in York?

UK: Bradford NHS Trust Teaching Hospital advertises job for midwife to help cousin-marriage families who are having children

A Bradford NHS Trust sought to recruit a nurse to help relatives who are having children together.

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust released an advertisement for ‘Close Relative Marriage Nurse/Midwife’ for its neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

The role explained the successful candidate would provide ‘comprehensive care and support to families who have recently had a baby and are close relatives’.

N.S. RCMP say officers faced racist comments during raid at Indigenous cannabis store

HALIFAX — An RCMP manager in Nova Scotia says he takes issue with officers being called white supremacists and Nazis during a recent police raid of an Indigenous-run cannabis dispensary, calling such statements “racist commentary.”

In response, a Mi’kmaq lawyer accused police of painting themselves as victims and heightening tensions for Indigenous communities that have been rocked by unproven allegations from provincial politicians about unlicensed cannabis dispensaries and human trafficking.

France has a nasty case of Trump Derangement Syndrome

The French IT giant Capgemini has put its US subsidiary on sale because of its association with the work of ICE in America.

All hell broke loose last week in France after it was revealed by the state broadcaster that Capgemini’s software was being used by Immigration and Customs Enforcement to identify foreigners on US soil and track their locations. According to the BBC, Capgemini multi-million dollar contract with ICE was agreed last December and was scheduled to run until 15 March.

US President Donald Trump has removed a social media video which included a racist clip depicting Barack and Michelle Obama as apes.

The clip – set to the song The Lion Sleeps Tonight – was at the end of a 62-second video containing claims about voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

Latest alleged Iranian regime official found in Canada wants his identity hidden

A suspected high-ranking Iranian official caught living in Canada appeared at his deportation hearing on Thursday as the regime he is accused of serving faced growing condemnation for killing protesters.

Before arriving in Canada, the Iranian citizen was a senior member of his government, according to the Canada Border Services Agency, which has asked the Immigration and Refugee Board to order his expulsion.

Who is approving entry for regime criminals? The LPC? We are a Banana Republic.

LG Energy Solution to buy Stellantis’s stake in Ontario EV battery joint venture for just $100

South Korea’s LG Energy Solution on Friday said it plans to buy the 49-per-cent stake held by Stellantis in their battery joint venture in Ontario for the nominal amount of US$100.

Stellantis also said on Friday it would book charges of around €22.2-billion ($35.81-billion) in the second half of last year as the Franco-Italian automaker scales down electric-vehicle development plans and launches a “strategic shift.”
