Tesla cars can be tricked into driverless driving: report

US magazine Consumer Reports said on Thursday its engineers were able to trick a Tesla into driving in the car’s Autopilot mode — with no one at the wheel.

The publication’s engineers were able to operate the vehicle with the car’s inbuilt system failing to realize the driver’s seat was empty.

The experiment comes just days after a Tesla crashed in Texas, killing the two men in the car. Authorities say neither of the victims were in the driver’s seat when the car hit a tree just north of Houston.

Maj. Kellie Brennan tells MPs Vance said he was ‘untouchable,’ fathered 2 of her kids

Maj. Kellie Brennan says former chief of the defence staff Gen. Jonathan Vance told her he was “untouchable” and that he “owned” the military police. She also said “he fathered two children with me.”

Global News reached out to Vance in February about the allegations. When asked if he was the father of one specific child by name, Vance said: “I am not.” When asked whether he was the father of another specific child by name, he said, “I don’t even know who these people are.”

Global News did not previously report on the allegations for legal reasons. Witnesses testifying before parliamentary committees are protected from being sued for defamation.

My First Knife Fight? Leftists call knifings kid stuff after Columbus cop saved a teen from a stabbing

My First Knife Fight? Leftists call knifings kid stuff after Columbus cop saved a teen from a stabbing

The far left has been mouthing so many phony, untrue things about crime and punishment in the U.S. that some of its unhinged denizens can no longer recognize reality.

That would likely explain why one Black Lives Matter activist, Bree Newsome, found herself the subject of ridicule on Twitter and beyond for jumping the shark on the subject of stabbings, which is the topic of the day regarding a police intervention in Columbus, Ohio, where an officer shot a 16 year-old in the act of stabbing another girl. Newsome’s twisted herself into a pretzel over the incident to whip up the narrative that cops are evil and knife stabbings are everyday occurrences, effectively declaring the vicious near-disemboweling of a teenager in pink jammed up against the hood of a car at the hands of another teen, Ma’Khia Bryant, a sort of rite of passage for Black people. And after a torrent of ridicule, she won’t stop digging.

NBC report on Ma’Khia Bryant shooting doesn’t show the knife in her hand for some reason

… Nicholas Fondacaro of the Media Research Center made a nice catch with this NBC News report on the shooting last night. Instead of just freeze-framing the knife to show viewers that Bryant was attacking, NBC attributed the claim to police: Police say that Bryant had a knife in her hand and a knife was found next to her after she fell. That leaves the viewer with a bit of unwarranted doubt about what Bryant was doing when she lunged at the girl in pink in the clip. Was she maybe just throwing a punch, and the knife fell out of her back pocket after she was shot?

She sounds like a charmer!

FBI Determined That the Attempted Massacre of GOP Lawmakers in 2017 Was ‘Suicide By Cop’

The FBI privately informed lawmakers in November of 2017 that the attempted massacre of GOP lawmakers on an Alexandria, Virginia baseball field that June was a “suicide by cop,” a GOP congressman revealed last week. That determination deviated from all of the known facts about the gunman’s political motivations, and conflicted with the conclusions of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

House approves bill to make DC a state

The House, in a party-line vote on Thursday, approved legislation to make Washington, D.C., the 51st state in the nation, sending the bill to the Senate.

It’s the second time the House has approved such legislation in two years, but the statehood bill, long a goal for the nation’s capital, faces an uphill climb in a Senate evenly divided between the two parties.

Winning a vote in the Senate would likely require ending the filibuster that requires most legislation to clear a 60-vote hurdle. Even then, not all 50 Democrats in the Senate back making D.C. a state.

Sign at George Floyd Square gives list of special orders for white visitors

The square where George Floyd was murdered by ex-Minnesota cop Derek Chauvin now has a sign with special rules for white people.

The placard at the entrance of George Floyd Square in Minnesota calls it “a sacred space for community, public grief, and protest,” telling visitors to “honor the space as a place to connect and grieve as caring humans.”

But most of the instructions are listed under five orders “for white people in particular.”

Scientists Are Mixing Human Body Parts With Robots And Monkeys. We Don’t Want To See What’s Next

It’s been a big month for sci-fi primates. On Apr. 8, Elon Musk’s start-up Neuralink announced they created a cyborg monkey who can play MindPong using a brain chip. The following week, scientists at the Salk Institute in California revealed they successfully grew human-macaque embryos in test tubes. These hybrid babies were aborted at 20 days.

SUNY Buffalo State College says it is looking into comments made by a part-time lecturer after a video clip surfaced online of the instructor saying she was “sick” of Black Lives Matter.

In a roughly 20-second video clip posted on Instagram, the instructor says, “This is me speaking honestly, and you guys have to respond honestly with what you think, with what you feel about this. So I am sick of (audio cuts out) about Black Lives Matter. Alright? I said it.”
