Trump took to Truth Social to revel in Facebook and Google getting called out for censoring search terms and an iconic image related to the attempt on his life.

“Facebook has just admitted that it wrongly censored the Trump ‘attempted assassination photo,’ and got caught. Same thing for Google,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “They made it virtually impossible to find pictures or anything about this heinous act. Both are facing BIG BACKLASH OVER CENSORSHIP CLAIMS.” The former president added, “Here we go again, another attempt at RIGGING THE ELECTION!!! GO AFTER META AND GOOGLE. LET THEM KNOW WE ARE ALL WISE TO THEM, WILL BE MUCH TOUGHER THIS TIME. MAGA2024!”

Department of Homeland Security director Alejandro Mayorkas is assembling a 45-day “independent security review” of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump on July 13. For this task Mayorkas selected:

Chief David Mitchell, the former superintendent of Maryland State Police and former Secretary of the Department of Public Safety and Homeland Security for the State of Delaware; Mark Filip, a former federal judge and Deputy Attorney General to President George W. Bush; Ms. Frances Townsend, former Homeland Security Advisor to President George W. Bush; and former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. Her stint in that job gives the people cause to wonder.

Text messages, obtained exclusively by The Times, indicate that some law enforcement officers were aware of Thomas Crooks earlier than previously known. And he was aware of them.

Nearly 100 minutes before former President Donald J. Trump took the stage in Butler, Pa., a local countersniper who was part of the broader security detail let his colleagues know his shift was ending.

“Guys I am out. Be safe,” he texted to a group of colleagues at 4:19 p.m. on July 13. He exited the second floor of a warehouse that overlooked the campaign rally site, leaving two other countersnipers behind.

This is starting to look as if it was allowed to happen.

Andrew Torba said on Wednesday that an unnamed law enforcement agency informed him that Crooks may have posted pro-Biden messages on Gab, a platform known for its alt-right users and conspiratorial content.

During the next few months, as Donald Trump’s poll numbers grow, many Americans, me included, will be on edge as we pray that he lives long enough to win the election in November.

Everybody knows that the “lone gunman” is dead, but the controversy surrounding the theory that Thomas Matthew Crooks was a “lone gunman” is not.

Many feel entirely justified to continue exploring whether others had to be involved in this operation for it to unfold in the way it did.

Christopher A. Wray, the F.B.I. director, disclosed on Wednesday that the gunman who tried to assassinate former President Donald J. Trump appeared to have used a drone for about 11 minutes to survey the site of the shooting in the hours before Mr. Trump took the stage.

“It appears that around 3:50 p.m., 4:00, on the day of the shooting, that the shooter was flying the drone around the area,” Mr. Wray said during his testimony, noting that it was “not over the stage, but about 200 yards, give or take, away from that.”
