Why WAS a gun on Alec Baldwin movie set loaded with live ammo?

The deadly chain of events on set that led to Alec Baldwin being handed a gun with live ammunition and accidentally shooting and killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins have become clearer after it emerged last night the actor fired a live round, believing it to be a blank.

The tragic accident came days after Baldwin’s stunt double also fired off bullets on the production’s set on Saturday after being told the gun was ‘cold’, a phrase used to signal to cast and crew the gun is not loaded with live or blank ammunition and is safe to fire for the scene.

New details of safety issues on set emerged as the production’s armorer was named by a search warrant released on Friday as 24-year-old Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the daughter of legendary Hollywood armorer and firearms consultant Thell Reed, and revealed she was leading firearms on a film set for only the second time.

He still pointed a gun at the victims. He alone pulled the trigger.

Alec Baldwin fatally shoots cinematographer, injures director in prop gun mishap on set of ‘Rust’

Alec Baldwin allegedly repeatedly asked ‘why was I handed a hot gun?’ after he accidentally shot and killed a female cinematographer and wounded a director yesterday on the set of his new film Rust.

Halyna Hutchins, 42, died shortly after being shot by Baldwin around 1.50pm Thursday at Bonanza Creek Ranch, near the city of Santa Fe in New Mexico. Joel Souza, 48, the film’s director, was also hurt and spent several hours in hospital, but was released later the same evening.

Police have disclosed few details about the shooting, saying only that a ‘projectile’ was fired by a ‘prop gun’ and they are investigating. But a witness told Hollywood gossip site Showbiz 411 that Baldwin immediately began asking why he was handed a ‘hot gun’ – which typically means a gun loaded with real ammunition.

School Shootings and Students of Color

To paraphrase Jeff Foxworthy, if you feel a shiver of excitement when “school shooting” trends on Twitter, you just might be woke. Last Wednesday, Erica — a nurse and “humanist” — proved her wokeness in spades.

“They’re already making excuses for the shooter ‘he got in a fight with someone,’” she tweeted. “Okay, but who chooses to shoot people? White males are a problem #TexasShooter #EnoughIsEnough.”

FedEx shooter ID’d as 19-year-old Brandon Scott Hole

The man who killed eight people at an Indiana FedEx facility was identified as 19-year-old Brandon Scott Hole — as police revealed there are a “significant” number of Sikh community members who work at the targeted site, according to reports.

Hole was identified by law enforcement sources to NBC News.

Another report only said Hole and his potential for violence were known to local and federal authorities.

Indianapolis FedEx gunman, 19, was an ex-employee who had ‘been fired and previously had a gun seized by police’ before he shot dead eight people and killed himself in a two minute rampage

A police report obtained by WTHR shows authorities were called to Hole’s home in March last year to detain him after he allegedly voiced suicidal ideas after buying a shotgun 24 hours earlier. In that incident, the report said police, who later took Hole to hospital, had ‘seized shotgun from dangerous person’.
