The Biden administration awarded a six-figure grant to a liberal think tank to produce “inoculation” videos to fight extremism. The organization in question, the Polarization & Extremism Research & Innovation Lab (PERIL), has extensive ties to the Southern Poverty Law Center and is led by a professor who serves on an advisory committee for the left-wing activist group.
The Department of Homeland Security awarded $749,828 to the group as part of its Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention program, according to government records reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. PERIL will use the funds to improve “media literacy” to identify extremist ideas and form “inoculation tactics to create off-ramps from violent extremism.”
Two Men Charged After Catholic Church in Northern Alberta Gutted by Arson
Two men have been charged after a Catholic Church was gutted by fire in northern Alberta.
On May 22, the RCMP was called to help with a fire in St. Bernard Catholic Church in Grouard, which is about 360 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.
The church was built in 1902 and is a provincial historic site.
A police spokesperson told The Epoch Times they could only speak to facts at this point, and not motivation.

A black man has been accused of shooting two white men in the back of the head in what authorities are describing as a racially motivated hate crime in Oklahoma.
Carlton Gilford, who is homeless, allegedly shot Lundin Hathcock, 35, and James McDaniel, 55, in two different shootings on April 18, according to the Tulsa Police Department.
He allegedly killed Hathcock in Rudisill Library around 9.40am. He reportedly walked up behind Hathcock, who was sitting at a desk, and shot him.
