They are billing it as the opening of an exhibit in Winnipeg to show decades of mistreatment of Palestinians.

But there does not seem to be any reference to a display on the execution of Palestinian people by Hamas firing squads on the streets in Gaza in 2025.

All the blame for the plight of Palestinians, instead, seems to be aimed at Israel – all paid for by Canadian taxpayers.

As the Trump Administration seeks to stabilize the Gaza Strip through its “Board of Peace” initiative, one participant stands out as particularly ill-suited for the role of mediator: Turkey.

The inclusion of Turkey in any effort to disarm Hamas or promote peace in the Middle East would be laughable if the stakes were not so high. For years, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his government have served as some of Hamas’s most loyal supporters and protectors.

A trustee at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights is quitting the organization’s board over an upcoming exhibit about the late 1940s displacement of Palestinians, saying its lack of vital historical context will stir up hostility against Jewish people.

Mark Berlin submitted his resignation on Monday in a letter addressed to Marc Miller, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture, and Benjie Nycum, the museum’s board chair. He has served as trustee since 2018.

WINNIPEG, Man. — A leading Israeli legal organization is preparing to seek a court injunction to stop the Canadian Museum for Human Rights’ (CMHR’s) planned Nakba exhibit. Correspondence received this week from Joshua Z. Lavine of the Shurat HaDin-Israel Law Center says the centre “is filing an injunction soon.”

The legal step comes after internal emails obtained by the National Post revealed co-ordination between officials at the Winnipeg museum and a representative of the Palestinian Authority on the exhibit’s content and progress.

A “foreign entity” has hired gunmen to shoot at synagogues in Toronto, the Secretary of State for Combatting Crime Ruby Sahota said in the House of Commons on Wednesday.

Ms. Sahota made the remark in an exchange about the government’s lawful-access bill, which would require electronic service providers, such as internet companies, to provide police and the Canadian Security Intelligence Service with surveillance and monitoring capabilities.

Nearly one-third of Canadians believe that antisemitism or anti-Jewish attitudes are becoming more acceptable in the country, according to a new poll.

The Leger survey, conducted on behalf of the Association for Canadian Studies, found that 31 per cent held that view, while the highest level of agreement was concentrated among university students (37 per cent), men (38 per cent) and Canadians between the ages of 18 and 34 (35 per cent). English speakers were more than twice (35 per cent) as likely to agree with the statement as opposed to just 16 per cent of Francophones.

Nearly three years after the Hamas-led October 7, 2023 massacre in Israel, many Western governments and diplomats remain trapped in a dangerous fantasy: the belief that creating a Palestinian state will bring peace to the Middle East.

The latest example is France’s international conference in Paris, where foreign ministers, activists, and self-appointed peace advocates gathered this month to revive the two-state solution and promote the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Gazans are preparing for public protests against Hamas in what is being touted as a grassroots “revolution” against the terror group.

The movement, which appears to have been started by Gazans in exile, is calling for surviving residents in the enclave to gather en masse.

“You will not break our spirits, nor will our resolve falter,” the group’s Facebook page says, reportedly referring to Hamas, which still governs the streets of Gaza.
