Hussen refuses to answer reporters’ questions on timing of UNRWA funding pause

Ahmed Hussen Islamist

OTTAWA —  Canada’s international development minister avoided reporters’ questions Tuesday on whether the widely publicized pause in the government’s funding of a contentious UN agency came before or after Canada had made a promised payment to the agency.

On Monday, columnist Hélène Buzzetti posted in French on X, formerly Twitter, that the federal government had already made the first of four promised $25-million payments to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) — despite last Friday’s announcement from International Development Minister Ahmed Hussen that funding would be paused after evidence emerged that agency employees took part in the Oct. 7 terror attacks on Israel.

A Hundred Days after Gaza’s October 7 (Part 3 of 4)

For ten days after 7th October 2023, the jihadist plus radical left alliance of Jew-haters in Great Britain was quiet. On the one hand, there are the truculently non-integrated Salafist Muslim immigrants centred on many mosques, including Hamas leaders who, incredibly, have been allowed to settle in Britain since 1997. The scale of this group has been long known to the intelligence services; but it is Sir William Shawcross’s much delayed and now recent report on “Prevent” — the British Government anti-radicalisation programme — which has documented the failure of efforts at integration and the degree of risk residing within Muslim extremism. It has secured this disturbing knowledge its place on the public record.

Canada suspended funding to UNRWA, the UN agency that supports Palestinians in Gaza, in response to allegations that its staff played a role in the Hamas attack in Israel on Oct. 7.

Israeli Security forces breach hospital – dressed as women and medical staff

The Israeli forces which eliminated three Hamas terrorists in Jenin’s Ibn Sina hospital completed their task within about ten minutes.

The three terrorists were eliminated by undercover officers from Israel’s National Counterterrorism Unit, some of whom were dressed as doctors and nurses. The forces raided the hospital, in a smooth operation which lasted only a few minutes, eliminating the terrorists who were in a hidden room on one of the levels.

How long till we hear the war crime cry?

Vivian Bercovici: Israel is the true victim of genocidal intent

International Court Of Justice – ICJ

TEL AVIV — Watching American Justice Joan Donoghue read the decision of the International Court of Justice, live at 2 p.m. Israel time on Friday afternoon, was surreal.

Everything about this legal proceeding is grotesque and represents a perversion of ethics and law that is beyond difficult to process. South Africa, a signatory to the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide — as is Israel — brought this application to the court with the support of some rather nefarious international actors. There has been a significant uptick in activity and contact between South Africa and the Islamic Republic of Iran of late, either a coincidence or reflecting an enhanced alignment of values between the two countries. Iran, of course, is the head of the proverbial Islamist snake, openly fomenting antisemitism globally and responsible for significant acts of violence targeting Jewish civilians.

Intelligence Reveals Details of U.N. Agency Staff’s Links to Oct. 7 Attack

TEL AVIV—At least 12 employees of the U.N.’s Palestinian refugee agency had connections to Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel and around 10% of all of its Gaza staff have ties to Islamist militant groups, according to intelligence reports reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

Six United Nations Relief and Works Agency workers were part of the wave of Palestinian militants who killed 1,200 people in the deadliest assault on Jews since the Holocaust, according to the intelligence dossier. Two helped kidnap Israelis. Two others were tracked to sites where scores of Israeli civilians were shot and killed. Others coordinated logistics for the assault, including procuring weapons.

Of the 12 Unrwa employees with links to the attacks, seven were primary or secondary school teachers, including two math teachers, two Arabic language teachers and one primary school teacher.

Muslim council cancels meeting with Trudeau over Liberal stance on hate crimes, Gaza

crying muslim

OTTAWA – The National Council of Canadian Muslims has cancelled a scheduled meeting today with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, saying there’s no point in speaking with him.

Chief executive Stephen Brown says that’s because of Trudeau’s response to the situation in the Gaza Strip and his government’s failure to deliver legislation and funding to prevent hate crimes.

Brown says Trudeau has not followed through on promises he made to the Muslim community in the 2015 election that brought him to power.

I love how identity politics is biting him in the ass.

David Knight Legg: Chrystia Freeland — our soft-on-terror deputy PM

On Jan. 8, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland evaded a question about why Canada hasn’t designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IGRC) as a terrorist organization. The question was being asked on the fourth anniversary of the IRGC’s murder of 55 Canadians aboard Flight PS752, and in the middle of a war the IRGC is facilitating across the Middle East. Before the journalist could ask again, he was arrested, which was caught on film and quickly became an international incident with millions of views.

Report: 10% of UNRWA staff affiliated with terror groups

Around 10% of UNRWA employees in Gaza have ties to terror groups, the Wall Street Journal reported, quoting intelligence groups.

At least 12 UNRWA employees participated directly in the October 7 massacre: Six were part of the wave of terrorists who breached the border fence and participated in the assault, two helped kidnap Israelis, two were tracked to sites where scores of Israelis were massacred, and other coordinated logistics for the attack – including the procurement of weapons.

Document spells out allegations against 12 UN employees Israel says participated in Hamas attack

TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — An Israeli document obtained Monday spelled out allegations against a dozen U.N. employees the country says participated in Hamas’ Oct. 7 assault — claiming seven stormed into Israeli territory, including two who participated in kidnappings.

The allegations against staffers with the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees prompted Western countries to freeze funds vital for the body, which is a lifeline for desperate Palestinians in Gaza. The U.N. fired nine of the 12 accused workers and condemned “the abhorrent alleged acts” of staff members.

Poilievre calls UNRWA ‘terrorist’ organization, after Canada pauses funding following allegations

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has accused UNRWA, the United Nations relief and works agency, of being a “terrorist” organization and promised to cut back its funding if he becomes prime minister.

Israel last week alleged that some members of UNRWA’s staff took part in the Oct. 7 attacks by Hamas-led militants on southern Israel that killed about 1,200 Israelis. Palestinian health officials say about 26,000 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip since that date.

Biden is planning to throttle Israel’s arms supply as fury grows against Netanyahu’s bombing campaign in Gaza

President Joe Biden is reportedly considering using weapons sales as a means to convince Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to scale back their attack on the Gaza Strip.

Sources told NBC News that the Pentagon has been directed by the Biden administration to review what weaponry Israel has requested that could be used as leverage to scale down their military attack on Gaza.

At least 26,422 Palestinians have been killed and 65,087 injured by Israeli counterstrikes since October 7, the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry said Sunday.
