An important new study on climate change came out recently. I’m not talking about the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Synthesis Report with its nonsensical headline “Urgent climate action can secure a liveable future for all.” No, that’s just meaningless sloganeering proving yet again how far the IPCC has departed from its original mission of providing objective scientific assessments.

I’m referring instead to a new paper in the Journal of Geophysical Research-Atmospheres by a group of scientists at the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) headed by Cheng-Zhi Zou, which presents a new satellite-derived temperature record for the global troposphere (the atmospheric layer from one kilometre up to about 10 km altitude).

It’s tax season. Well, for the environment now, it’s always tax season.

The carbon tax — which was raised to $65 as metric ton on April 1 — is impacting the economy in many ways. As the implementation of a higher carbon tax moves forward, a new baseline for costing is set for all sectors of our economy. By 2023, our carbon tax will be at $170 a metric ton, subsequently we need to be ready.

I can’t think of a more valuable human endeavour than attempting to feed the population.

The proper role of the state, if one exists at all, is to make a sincere attempt to remedy the multitude of ongoing, very real environmental catastrophes — like, for instance, the microplastics pandemic caused in part by the abundance of (mostly useless) COVID-19 surgical masks.

Every year, there is a green fad that claims it’s going to ‘save the world’ with some kind of renewable gimmick. In 2023, it’s the doomed money pit of green hydrogen – at the turn of the millennium, it was wave energy.

Established in 1997, Oceanlinx focused on ocean-based renewable energy harvesting, particularly its Wave Energy Converter (WEC). In 1999, the federal government, under Howard, gave the company a grant of $750,000 to pursue WEC technology before a second grant of $1.21 million was issued for research and development.

Well that went awfully wrong.

This will produce unreliable and expensive food supplies.

A new superclass of eco-globalists is making life miserable for the rest of us.

Jacinda Ardern has been sworn into the highest political caste. She takes her place alongside the likes of John Kerry and Mark Carney as a member of the globe-trotting eco-elite. She’s been admitted to that inner circle of eco-globalists who spend their days wringing their hands over the climate apocalypse and wagging their fingers at the polluting throng.
