Canada’s spy network warned Western governments to brace themselves for radical and sometimes violent attacks as the pandemic began.
Such warnings were outlined in documents prepared by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and stamped “TOP SECRET,” “Confidential” and “SECRET/ CANADIAN EYES ONLY.”
Heavily redacted copies of the reports from mid-2020 were obtained by the Toronto Star under the Access to Information Act.
Claims that Covid leaked from a lab were once roundly dismissed as Trumped-up charges – the ravings of a US president who seemed maliciously hellbent on blaming China for the pandemic.
Now after 18 months of extensive research and analysis, a US Senate Committee has published its full 304 page report into the matter – and it makes for compelling reading.
Two Ontario doctors accused of spreading COVID misinformation, including one who provided groundless vaccine exemptions to 168 people, attesting that the shots would expose them to “unacceptable medical risk,” have agreed to give up their licences to practise, and to never seek one again.
Very harsh penalties.

Avoiding directly mentioning the Chinese government, he referred only to an ambiguous “them”. “It is difficult to understand,” Guan said, “why they abruptly lifted all restrictions.”

The pandemic was probably the result of a “research-related incident” at a laboratory in Wuhan, China, a lengthy US Senate report concluded.
It said the theory that Covid-19 jumped from animals to humans in a market no longer deserved the “presumption of accuracy”.
The 300-page report, released to Axios, was the full version of a 35-page summary published in October by the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.

French President Emmanuel Macron said in an interview published Sunday that Europe must not be a “follower” of either the US or China on Taiwan, saying that the bloc risks entanglement in “crises that aren’t ours”.
His comments risk riling Washington and highlight divisions in the European Union over how to approach China, as the US steps up confrontation with its closest rival and Beijing draws closer to Russia in the wake of its invasion of Ukraine.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that the number of gun-related homicides in America increased 35 percent in 2020 and 2021 when compared to previous years. Overall, gun injuries jumped 40 percent.
Government researchers also found that gun-related ER visits jumped from 50,000 in 2019 to 72,000 in 2020.
Governments used “fifth-generational warfare” techniques to modify public perception during the COVID-19 pandemic, while the reporting of media outlets shifted into propaganda, two experts testified at the National Citizen’s Inquiry (NCI).
“Over the last three years, Western governments, non-governmental organizations, as well as media, pharmaceutical, and financial corporations deployed a massive, globally harmonized psychological and propaganda operation,” said Dr. Robert Malone.

Some choppy waters this week for former UK prime minister Boris Johnson, who more than ever looks like a ghost haunting a library. Johnson was recently hauled before a committee of Parliament where he was grilled about allegations that he’d attended parties with other government employees during Covid lockdown. The spectacle was so brutal that at one point the usually unflappable Boris lost his temper: “This is complete nonsense!” he barked.
‘MAYDAY! Mayday!’ is something no airline pilot wants to say, and no passenger wants to hear, but this month Virgin Australia, Emirates, United and Southwest airlines have all turned back aircraft or made emergency landings because air crew have suffered serious health incidents. A British Airways pilot died of a heart attack just before he was due to fly a plane from Egypt.
