Last week, the English Football Association (FA) finally remembered why women’s football exists – and it’s not to let men who identify as women ‘validate’ their identities.
In a short statement on its website, the FA confirmed that, in light of the recent Supreme Court decision on gender, it ‘will be changing [its] policy’ on men in women’s football. ‘Transgender women will no longer be able to play in women’s football in England’, it said. The decision will come into effect from 1 June.

The paradox of the stupidity of clever people may be age-old, but it’s come to the fore with a gruesome absurdity in recent years.

But not in Canada’s Liberal Party of course.
One of Canada’s top constitutional legal groups has launched a lawsuit on behalf of a women’s rights group against the Canadian federal government to try to stop the often dangerous practice of forcing female prisoners to share spaces with gender-confused males.
The lawsuit was filed by the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) on behalf of a nonpartisan group called Canadian Women’s Sex-Based Rights (CAWSBAR) in Canada’s Federal Court in Toronto, Ontario, on April 7, 2025.
It was a protest of quiet dignity but its message was heard around the world. Stephanie Turner, the 31-year-old fencer who last week dropped to one knee as a signal that she refused to compete against a biological male in a female event, has found herself acclaimed a “heroine” by JK Rowling for women’s rights.
One moment she was an unknown athlete from Maryland in an ancient sport. The next, her predicament was drawing the ire of Martina Navratilova, with the nine-time Wimbledon champion furiously claiming she had been thrown under the “gender bulls— bus”.
Right now in Australia, a seminal free-speech battle is being fought that proves censorship regimes are no longer constrained by geography. At the heart of this case is Billboard Chris, a Canadian father who publicly advocates against gender ideology.
This happened last weekend at the University of Maryland. A female fencer named Stephanie Turner chose not to compete against a trans woman named Redmond Sullivan at an event called the Cherry Blossom Open. As the match began, Turner took a knee and removed her mask. For this she was given a “black card” and ejected from the competition.
