Even prominent liberals think the handling of the migrant crisis in Democrat-run cities is “full of s–t.”

Self-styled “old-school liberal” Bill Maher has blasted progressive leaders of “woke” cities — including New York City — as being hypocritical in crying foul over the mass influx of asylum seekers.

The HBO host said that sanctuary cities have been “hoist with their own petard” by signaling that they welcome migrants, just to panic and complain when they actually get shipped in from overwhelmed border states.

This is another segment from the same show discussing Islam and Liberal tolerance for the intolerable.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) faced a handful of enraged constituents during a Friday night town hall in Queens.

Some New Yorkers in attendance took issue with the congresswoman’s soft stance on illegal immigration, raising the debt ceiling, and her support of seemingly endless U.S. funding for Ukraine. One man wearing a shirt with a Cuban flag on it and holding an American flag in his hand got up and walked toward the stage, shouting “American citizens before migrants!”

It is 85 years since the great bluesman Lead Belly coined the phrase “stay woke” in “Scottsboro Boys”, a song dedicated to nine black teenagers whose execution for rapes they never committed was only prevented by years of international protests and the American Communist Party. Staying alive to injustice — what could be wrong with that? Apparently, quite a lot. In a few short decades, woke was transformed from a term of praise to a term of abuse. Still, the fact that politicians ranging from Ron DeSantis to Rishi Sunak deploy “woke” as a battle cry should not prevent us from examining its assumptions. For not only liberals, but many Leftists and socialists like me are increasingly uneasy with the form it has taken.

As President Biden’s team tried to put out fires regarding the Curious Case of the Corvette and the FAA fiasco, one Democrat must have been grateful for the White House’s sudden maelstrom of bad news.

When it rains it pours — and Joe’s torrent of bad headlines overshadowed Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s latest scandal that is brewing in the Windy City.

A strong critic of the Iraq War, led by Republican President George W. Bush, Kristof has evolved into something of a war-monger, at least when it comes to international interventions by Democratic presidents, in Liberia, Libya, and presently in Ukraine.

Director Rachel Lears’ To the End screened at Sundance, features AOC and made its weekend debut on 120 screens.

On those 120 screens, it grossed just $9,667, which averages to $81 per screen.

Dear Mid-Term 2022 voter – this is a public service announcement. The rush to blame the Right for words = violence in the aftermath of the awful attack on Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul is looking even more cynical than it usually is when they whip out the blame card, so please hold your judgment for a day or so. Events and reports from the scene are shifting rapidly. The possibility the cynical Democratic card is being played more as a distraction from the true situation, vice an accusation of fault, looks stronger every passing hour.
