I’m not a lawyer, nor is that a profession I especially admire. When I think of lawyers I think of the American Justice system, and when I think of that I begin to dwell on cases like the Charlie Kirk assassination and the treatment of Kirk’s alleged killer, Tyler Robinson.

Kirk was murdered on September 10, 2025, and yet Robinson’s trial may not begin for another six months. That’s one and a half years since the soyboy with an enormous drop jaw (look at his profile) climbed to that rooftop in Orem, Utah and shot and killed a man in the prime of life. When Kirk was assassinated, he was explaining to the outdoor audience at Utah Valley University the dangers of transgender ideology.

The signs are less common now where I live, but once they were everywhere. “Hate has no home here,” in large letters, usually against the same blue background common to the Democrats’ election signs. Scattered around the main lettering, the same phrase repeated in multiple languages, although never in the language of those Americans whose ancestry was European. Moreover, one couldn’t help noticing that, during an election season, the signs would be joined by “Vote for…” followed by the name of whichever Democrats were in the race.

People are bemused that the man who allegedly rushed the White House Correspondents’ Dinner with all guns blazing was a teacher. Why? It should be common knowledge by now that a not insignificant number of American teachers go weak-kneed for a spot of political violence. In the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination in September last year, teachers all over America were sacked or placed on leave for dancing on his grave before it had even been dug.

Democrats have created a permission structure for all types of political violence.

During a press conference held shortly after an armed gunman ran through a security barrier at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner with the obvious intention of shooting President Trump and other members of his administration, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked this question: “Respectfully, why do you think this keeps happening to you?” Trump answered, “The people who do the most, the people who have the biggest impact, they’re the ones that they go after.” And by “they,” Trump meant Democrats. He has, for obvious reasons, studied presidential assassinations and knows that all but one of the victims were Republicans.

That’s a lot of stolen booze…

I am a senior coordinating producer for the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. I have worked eleven of these. I was backstage at the Washington Hilton when the shots were fired.

The first thing I heard was not the gunfire. It was glass.
