President Trump’s designation of antifa as a domestic terrorist entity has the corporate media seething. In a vacuum, journalists expressing outrage at a president quelling domestic terrorism would probably sound insane. But for anyone familiar with the leftist press’s longstanding affection for antifa, the media’s response has been all too predictable.
Antifa cells in America actively receive funding from an international antifascist network working to establish chapters around the world, though their financial ties might soon be severed, as U.S. national security officials are reportedly moving toward a foreign terrorism classification for antifa abroad.
Antifa International, an antifascist cohort helping far-left militants connect to local antifa cells or operate their own, is one of the international networks providing material support to antifa operatives in the U.S. by way of its bail fund.
President Donald Trump’s recent threat to declare Antifa a terrorist organization is a reasonable and helpful response to the contemporary problem of disorder and excessive violence in urban America.
Antifa was founded in 2007 in Portland, Oregon, and is a decentralized group of urban associations sharing the name that is a contraction of the expression anti-fascist. It is an anarchistic and particularly anti-capitalist movement that expressly favours violence, though sometimes confines itself to non-violent but obstructive demonstrations. It has had recourse to violence on countless occasions and is never apologetic for it. Its members appear in partially ninja-like outfits that conceal their faces and make it impossible to identify them.
The organization that put Charlie Kirk’s organization on a “hate map” with chapters of the Ku Klux Klan ahead of his assassination last week also has a long history of carrying water for the violent Antifa movement that President Donald Trump has targeted for investigation.
Tyler Robinson, 22, who faces murder charges in the assassination of Kirk, had reportedly adopted leftist political positions and endorsed the transgender movement, according to authorities. His bullet casings reportedly included anti-fascist messaging resonant of Antifa.
President Trump signed an executive order Monday designating the shadowy, left-wing group Antifa a “domestic terrorist organization,” according to the White House.
The order comes after Trump teased slapping a terror label on the radical “anti-fascist” group last week.
“I hereby designate Antifa as a ‘domestic terrorist organization,’” read the president’s order.
President Trump has announced his coming crackdown on the far-left, hateful, inciteful Antifa. What could that mean for the powerful Canadian lobby, the Canadian Anti-Hate Network et al, which is associated with the group?
The European Parliament will next week take a major step towards deciding whether Italian MEP Ilaria Salis should face trial in Hungary for her alleged role in a series of violent Antifa-linked attacks in Budapest.
Salis, 41, was arrested and imprisoned in Hungary in 2023 for participating in a series of attacks organised by the Hammerbande (Hammer Gang), a German left-wing militant group linked to Antifa. The members of the group surrounded and bludgeoned nine innocent people—who the attackers decided “looked like” neo-Nazis based on their choice of clothing—with telescopic batons and hammers on the streets of Budapest.
Since the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk, legacy media have gone above and beyond to tank what little credibility they had with the broader American public. And that statement could not be more applicable to The Economist.
Late last week, the U.K.-based outlet ran a story attempting to run cover for the spate of leftist-led violence wreaking havoc across the United States. To accomplish this feat, the piece highlighted several “studies and datasets … largely compiled by researchers whom s[k]eptical conservatives would probably dismiss as biased” to “suggest that the killing of Mr Kirk is not representative of broader trends.”
We shouldn’t be in this scenario, yet here we are.
It doesn’t matter if you agreed with Charlie Kirk or not. It doesn’t matter if you liked him or not. Charlie Kirk had the same right to life that you and I and every single person in a free society has.
In an act of consummate evil, someone decided to take that right to life away.

Donald Trump will consider designating Antifa as a terror organisation as his administration cracks down on Left-wing groups accused of stirring up violence.
The US president said he would support proscribing the radical Left-wing network after Charlie Kirk was killed by a gunman accused of expressing anti-fascist views.
The conservative influencer and close friend of Mr Trump was killed by a single bullet fired by an assassin who lay in wait on a rooftop 130 metres from where he was hosting a rally at Utah Valley University last week.

Toronto police arrest 10 people at Christie Pits during duelling rallies
Toronto police say they arrested six people at Christie Pits Park where a large anti-immigration rally and counter demonstration took place Saturday afternoon.
Police said one man was arrested for assault at an ongoing demonstration in the Bloor Street West and Christie Street area at around 12:40 p.m. in a social media post. In an update posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, shortly after 3 p.m., Toronto Police Service said six people were arrested at the demonstration

The far-left radical movement known as Antifa has been getting its own taste of cancel culture.
Just look at what happened on Aug. 19 in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood. Masked, fist-clenched agitators belonging to the anarchist collective turned up to sow chaos — but locals banded together to confront the troublemakers, telling them to get lost.
On August 3rd, activists of the radical far-left Antifa staged a protest against an AfD district party conference in the western German town of Unna.
Many of the demonstrators covered their faces with scarves and sunglasses, despite Germany’s legal ban on facial concealment at public gatherings.
