The Boston Globe reports on some unintentional political comedy: New Hampshire Public Radio issued an apology that they sponsored a “Live Free Anarchist Book Fair” in Hanover, New Hampshire over the weekend, since they somehow didn’t realize an Anarchist event might look political!
Canada has joined three Western allies in expressing disappointment regarding the Palestinian president’s move to postpone elections for nearly a year, and is calling on him to reconsider his decision.
Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, France, and Portugal recognized Palestinian statehood in September 2025, saying the move was intended to revive hopes for peace between Palestinians and Israelis and advance a two-state solution. The United States and Israel condemned the recognition.

Forcing LGBT ideology onto children is not a new phenomenon for Hollywood. So, it wasn’t exactly surprising when Paramount’s latest show for kids attempted to do just that.
On Friday, the company’s Paramount Plus streaming service debuted its new Avatar: Seven Havens series. Set within the Avatar universe, the animated show takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where the avatar — who can bend the elements of water, earth, fire, and air — is branded the enemy. The program follows the journey of Pavi and Nisha, twin sisters who discover that they’re twin avatars and must hide their abilities.
Prime Minister Mark Carney claimed, in an interview on Sept. 23, that it would be “irresponsible” for Canada not to prepare for the “extreme tail risk” of U.S. military action against Canada. He refused, however, to provide any details.
How would Canada respond to an invasion? A Globe and Mail article from Jan. 20 provides the answer. The military has apparently developed a contingency model for the unlikely event of a U.S. invasion. Canada would mount a military defence, but it would be breached within two to seven days. Resistance would then shift to an insurgency on the Afghan model, intended to impose high costs on the invading force. Insurgents would engage in hit-and-run tactics, sabotage, ambushes and planting improvised explosive devices.

Lawyers for A-lister-chomping actress Selma Blair claimed to a Queens judge she deserved a break after her second bizarre mid-air meltdown because she is “the gold standard’’ — but the no-nonsense jurist told them to fugghedaboutit.
“Consider her body of work and what she’s done for people,” said one of Blair’s two lawyers, Joshua Reitzas, at the 54-year-old “Cruel Intentions” star’s arraignment on assault charges Monday night.
