Toronto police are investigating what they describe as a “suspicious incident” involving a man who allegedly approached and grabbed children during a school soccer tournament in Earlscourt Park.

Toronto Catholic District School Board warns of ’dangerous’ social media trends
The Toronto Catholic District School Board is warning parents about “dangerous” social media challenges that are trending among students in Ontario schools.
The board says the challenges are recorded on video and shared online to encourage others to participate, but they can pose serious risks to students and the entire school community.

A hairy Sudanese asylum seeker with a deep voice is a child, an immigration tribunal has ruled.
The court said that having physical attributes such as hairy legs and arms was not a “useful indicator” of age, dismissing assessments by the Home Office and a council that the asylum seeker was in his mid-20s. It backed his claim that he was 16 years old.

An NHS hospital trust drew up plans to give trans staff extra breaks if they wore chest binders or had to tuck their genitals away.
In draft guidance seen by The Telegraph, University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust (UH Sussex) said trans colleagues “may require extra scheduled breaks in their shift in order to have breaks from binding and tucking”.

Girl accused of fatally stabbing Kenneth Lee in swarming case not guilty of murder
The teen girl accused of stabbing Kenneth Lee to death is not guilty of murder, a Superior Court judge has ruled.
The girl, who was 14 at the time, is guilty of manslaughter — a lesser offence she pleaded to at the outset of her trial in February. That admission was rejected by Crown prosecutors as they pursued the murder conviction.
Justice Philip Campbell’s decision Friday afternoon means none of the eight girls charged with swarming 59-year-old Lee will be found to have actually been the one to fatally stab him.
