A college instructor who called the Hamas attack on Oct. 7, 2023 an “amazing, brilliant offensive” had her job reinstated by an arbitrator, then resigned from her position.

The Federation of Post-Secondary Educators of B.C. (FPSE), which represents faculty at several B.C. post-secondary institutions, called the decision — issued by arbitrator Randy Noonan on Nov. 19 — to reinstate Natalie Knight to her position at Vancouver’s Langara College a victory for academic freedom and freedom of speech.

Red paint — meant to symbolize blood — was scrawled all over the windows and front door to make it look like a slaughter scene.

Indigo book stores in Canada were targeted, attacked, in some cases occupied. In Toronto, Indigo was vandalized once again because the bookstore chain’s owners are Jewish and support Jewish charities.

Terrorists threw IEDs at the Chanukah event

… The pair are accused of throwing four improvised explosive devices at a Jewish crowd at Archer Park, which failed to detonate, before opening fire from a footbridge on the evening of Dec. 14.

Police said the pair parked their car on Campbell Parade in Bondi Beach at about 6:50 p.m. and then draped Islamic State flags over the front and rear windscreens. They then allegedly carried three firearms, three pipe bombs and a homemade “tennis ball bomb” as they walked toward the footbridge and began shooting at the Chanukah by the Sea gathering.

Greta Thunberg has been arrested in central London at a demonstration in support of Palestine Action.

The Prisoners for Palestine protest group confirmed the climate activist had been arrested at a protest in support of the Palestine Action members on hunger strike in prison.

“It’s been an incredibly difficult two years,” says Phil Rosenberg, president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews. “I think our Jewish identity is being worn far more heavily these days given the pain of it all.”

Conflict in the Middle East has, he says, had a profound impact on British Jewish society.

“The attacks of 7 October were felt very personally, not least because there were British Jews who were killed in the initial onslaught and people with British connections held hostage.

“And in the war that followed, the devastation in Gaza was very painful to watch. Then there was the vitriol that surrounded the whole conflict, and the massive rise in antisemitism culminating in deadly attacks.”

Imagine if Jews across Canada were marching into Muslim neighbourhoods blaming them for the thousands of deaths caused by Hamas and other Islamist terrorist groups in Israel and around the world.

Imagine if our excuse was that we had nothing against Muslims, only Muslims who are terrorists.

Foreign journalists in Israel are upset. Israel has prevented them from entering the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war, which began with the Hamas-led invasion of Israel on October 7, 2023. A spokesman for the Foreign Press Association in Israel recently urged authorities to “lift restrictions without delay, allowing all journalists to work securely and without fear or hesitation” in the Gaza Strip.

Before the war, the journalists now complaining that Israel is not allowing them to enter Gaza were able to visit there anytime they liked.

Activists first to be detained under new police crackdown on such slogans

A pair of protesters who called for an “intifada” were arrested at a pro-Palestine protest on Wednesday evening.

The two demonstrators were the first to be detained after two of the country’s top police officers announced a crackdown on such chants after the Bondi Beach massacre.

They were arrested at a Palestine Coalition demonstration in central London along with another protester who attempted to obstruct their arrests.

The streaming platform Disney+ has been accused of politicising its Christmas publicity campaign by including a pro-Palestine symbol in its adverts.
