Germany accuses climate activists of 580 offenses

Germany found that 740 people were involved in 580 different offenses committed by the climate activist group Last Generation.

Germany has recorded 580 criminal offenses committed by the climate activist group Last Generation, or Letzte Generation, German weekly Bild am Sonntag reported.

The group has been raising climate awareness by using controversial protest methods in Germany, including gluing themselves to streets.

Since the beginning of 2022, “740 people have come to the attention of the police” said Interior Minister Nancy Faeser to the newspaper.

Furious scaffolders shove Just Stop Oil protesters out of road

A pair of furious scaffolders rugby-tackled Just Stop Oil (JSO) protesters blocking traffic on a central London road.

Four JSO activists in high-visibility orange jackets stood in the middle of a busy road by Pall Mall on Thursday, refusing to let a build-up of heavy goods lorries pass as part of a coordinated set of marches across the capital.

Two scaffolders exasperated at the holdup tackled the protestors to the pavement, with one handling three activists at once, while the other confiscated a cardboard picket sign.

The totalitarian roots of the anti-human environmentalist cult

The modern environmentalist movement is often compared to a pantheistic religion. It certainly contains a vision of sin and repentance – damnation and salvation.

At the Copenhagen climate change summit in December 2009, then Prince Charles, now King Charles III, warned that the survival of mankind itself was in peril and a mere seven years remained ‘before we lose the levers of control’ over the climate.

Europe’s top eco-zealots are plotting a huge ‘civil disobedience campaign’ of highway blockages and disruption at ‘federal properties’ in America’s first summer of chaos

Europe’s top climate activists are planning a ‘large-scale civil disobedience campaign’ of highway blockages, hunger strikes and disruption at ‘federal properties’ in the US in August, DailyMail.com can reveal.

Leaders from Extinction Rebellion (XR) and other European groups known for their large-scale disturbances are rapidly expanding their US-based franchise, Declare Emergency, to create mayhem on this side of the Atlantic.

In a videoconference, which DailyMail.com attended, the Europeans taught their US allies how to raise money, boost membership and recruit scores of ‘arrestable’ members to spearhead the most aggressive protests.

Police crackdown stops climate protesters in their tracks

A police crackdown has stopped Berlin’s climate protesters in their tracks, with no street blockades affecting the German capital since nationwide raids targeted the Letzte Generation (Last Generation) group last month.

Since late April, the group, using similar tactics to Just Stop Oil in the UK, had blockaded major streets in Berlin and pledged to continue until the government met their demands.

Eco-anxiety: Salvation Through Terror

The American Psychological Association (APA) does not yet consider it a pathology per se, although it is affecting more and more people; but it has already provided a definition: “Fear that can occur chronically from environmental cataclysm or from observing the seemingly irrevocable impact of climate change.” This is ‘eco-anxiety,’ a psychological condition related to the climate emergency.

Awareness of a hypothetical climate apocalypse is reportedly causing more and more individuals to fall into grief and despair, suffer panic attacks, and give up life projects, such as having children, because they see the planet’s overpopulation and a high quality of life as incompatible. And “if adults are extraordinarily worried, children are terrified,” warns Danish environmentalist Bjorn Lomborg.

Former BfV Chief: Last Generation Eco-Activists Enemies of German State

The former president of Germany’s Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), which serves as the country’s domestic intelligence agency, has called for the far-left, eco-activist group Last Generation to be treated as a threat to the country’s free and democratic order.

In a commentary piece penned for Junge Freiheit, former BfV chief Hans-Georg Maasen, insisted that—in light of the mounting number of criminal cases pending against members of the group for property damage, blocking road traffic, and financing a criminal enterprise—not only is it long overdue that the Last Generation be classified as a criminal organization but that the group ought to be classified as a threat to democracy.

Netherlands: Police arrest 1500 climate activists at protest

Dutch police arrested over 1500 climate protesters after a climate protest garnered thousands of participants in the Hague, the Netherlands’ seat of government.

The protest was called for by Extinction Rebellion, a group that originated in the UK which uses non-violent albeit disruptive protest methods to raise climate awareness.

Protesters blocked a section of a motorway, near the base of both the Dutch parliament and the prime minister’s offices. Extinction Rebellion said some 7,000 took part.

Europe grapples with Last Generation climate protests

Over the last week, climate activists featured heavily in the European news cycle.

In Germany, police and prosecutors launched their first nationwide crackdown on the Last Generation group with raids on May 24. The climate activists are charged with the “formation or support of a criminal organization” in Munich, which led to home searches and the shutdown of their website.

Four days earlier, Last Generation activists in Italy had staged an attention-grabbing protest, pouring a black liquid, charcoal diluted with water, into the Trevi Fountain in Rome. Their banner demanded “an immediate end to public subsidies for all fossil fuels.”
