Halton police are searching for three suspects in a string of pickpocket incidents targeting the Toronto Premium Outlets shopping centre, one of which was captured on video.
In footage from April 11, three suspects are seen working together in a coordinated distraction theft inside a clothing store at Toronto Premium Outlets, located off Highway 401 near Milton.

Man sentenced in northern Ont. child abduction case
A southern Ontario man has been sentenced for abducting a child almost three years ago in northern Ontario.
Manoj Govindbalunikam, the man who admitted to abducting a child in Thessalon in 2023, has been sentenced to 18 months behind bars.
The defence for the former Brampton, Ont., Realtor had argued previously that the situation was a cultural misunderstanding, adding that an extended sentence could impact Govindbalunikam’s ability to stay in Canada.

A proactive traffic stop in Surrey has resulted in one of the region’s latest significant drug seizures, with more than three kilograms of illicit substances taken off the street and two individuals arrested, according to the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia.
On March 24, officers with the CFSEU-BC Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) conducted the stop as part of ongoing efforts targeting organized crime and street-level trafficking networks.

An Ontario truck driver has admitted to playing an online game on his cellphone when he caused a pileup on a Montreal-area highway that killed a mother and her 11-year-old son.
On Wednesday, Baljeet Singh, 29, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm at the courthouse in Longueuil, on Montreal’s South Shore.
“That’s my crodie,” the teenage girl squawks loudly, slapping her male friend on the chest as she lets the final word of her sentence roll on: “-deeeeeeeeeeeee”. Passers-by in Jane Finch, a shopping centre in a downtrodden Toronto suburb, do not recoil at this strange pronunciation. Weeks after CBC News identified two Indian nationals deported from Canada for serious criminality, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has identified the pair as proof of expanded efforts to disrupt extortion networks.
According to Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) records obtained by CBC News, Arshdeep Singh and Sukhnaaz Singh Sandhu were known to each other — and to the alleged “prime conspirator” behind a series of extortion-linked shootings at a Surrey, B.C., café.
Both men moved between provinces, wracking up run-ins with police at every stop.

Sure, those spouting these ‘diversity is a panacea’ nostrums never cash out the claim. They never tell us precisely how ‘diversity’ is making society better or wealthier or more unified. We are all just supposed to take it on faith, as it were. We’re just to believe the bureaucratic, political and various professional bodies’ elites who push this line, and believe it simply because they are the ones telling us it’s so.
The Windsor home of Nancy Grewal, a social media influencer and Khalistan critic killed earlier this month, was previously targeted in an arson last November, say Ontario Provincial Police.
Investigators released video footage of the incident on Sunday, saying it “may be connected” to Grewal’s death on March 3.

Parkland RCMP have charged three men and issued a Canada‑wide arrest warrant in connection with an ongoing extortion and firearms investigation targeting the South Asian community.
The probe stems from two shootings at a Spring Meadow Estate home in Parkland County in late 2025. No one was injured in either incident.

Canadian police warn Sikh activist of threat to life as Carney announces India visit
As Prime Minister Mark Carney heads to India this week for trade talks, police have warned a Canadian Sikh leader about a “credible threat” to his life.
Moninder Singh, who heads the Sikh Federation of Canada, said a member of the Vancouver Police Department delivered the caution on Sunday.
On Wednesday, Canadian Identity and Culture Minister Marc Miller announced that he’ll be assembling a committee to come up with a “common narrative” to hold our rapidly diversifying nation together.
This new Advisory Council on Rights, Equality and Inclusion is just the latest initiative that makes some kind of vague promise to unite Canadians and, in Miller’s words, “ensure that every person feels included.” If it feels like the 30th time the Liberals have done something like this, well, you’re probably not far off. Diversity is always our strength, but diversity also perpetually needs to be solved.
