Police say one former and one current employee of Air Canada are among the nine suspects that have now been identified in the investigation into the gold heist at Pearson International Airport last year.

At a news conference Wednesday on the one-year anniversary of the heist, police confirmed that five suspects were arrested and four others are facing charges in connection with the largest gold theft in Canadian history.

Two bodies are found in hunt for Kansas moms who disappeared two weeks ago – as police arrest four people for murder

Two bodies have been recovered in connection with the disappearance of a pair of Kansas mothers who were last seen two weeks ago, while four people have been charged with kidnapping and murder.

Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39, were traveling together to pick up Butler’s children, ages 6 and 8, on March 30, when they disappeared about three miles from where they were scheduled to pick up Butler’s children.

Butler was going through a nasty divorce and custody battle and Kelley, a pastor’s wife, is one of her supervisors for her visitations with the kids. It was Butler’s six-year-old daughter’s birthday and they were planning to celebrate.

Former undercover agent recalls infiltrating the Hells Angels: ‘A dangerous game to play’

Jay Dobyns lived a double life for two years, and it nearly cost him his life.

Now retired, Dobyns worked for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which enforces the nation’s gun laws. From 2001 to 2003, he went undercover as he infiltrated the Hells Angels in Arizona.

He is now sharing his account in a new A&E series, “Secrets of The Hells Angels,” which examines the history of the notorious biker club. It features new interviews with former chapter presidents, as well as law enforcement officials, undercover agents and victims.

Westfield Bondi mall attack: Sydney knife suspect identified by police

A knife-wielding man who killed six people in a Sydney shopping centre before being shot dead has been identified by Australian police.

Joel Cauchi, 40, sent the crowded Westfield Bondi Junction complex into panic on Saturday when he began stabbing people with a long blade.

Five women and a man died. Several others, including a baby, were injured.

Authorities said the attack was most likely “related to the mental health of the individual involved”.

Sam Bankman-Fried appeals $8B FTX fraud conviction, 25-year sentence

Sam Bankman-Fried, facing the prospect of spending much of his adult life behind bars, on Thursday appealed his conviction and 25-year prison sentence for stealing $8 billion from customers of the now-bankrupt FTX cryptocurrency exchange he founded.

Defense lawyer Marc Mukasey had announced plans for the appeal to the Manhattan-based 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals during Bankman-Fried’s March 28 sentencing hearing. The 32-year-old former billionaire crypto wunderkind was convicted in November on seven counts of fraud and conspiracy in what federal prosecutors have called one of the biggest financial frauds in US history.

Girl, 13, and boy, 16, charged in armed Brampton carjacking, 11-year-old girl also involved

Two youths aged 13 and 16 were arrested, and another 11-year-old girl was released from custody following an armed carjacking in Brampton that saw the victim stabbed and injured in a high school parking lot.

Peel Regional Police say the incident happened on Feb. 22, 2024. It’s alleged that four suspects lured the victim through social media to a high school near Kennedy Road and Queen Street.
