Podcaster and Vice magazine co-founder Gavin McInnes used to be friends with Jimmy Kimmel, and in the wake of the ABC late-night host’s suspension, McInnes offered a postmortem of his career — blaming his “woke” second wife for the funnyman’s downfall into shrill leftism.
On Sept. 14, the Substack writer Heather Cox Richardson claimed in her daily missive that “the radical Right is working to distort the country’s understanding” of Charlie Kirk’s murder. The alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, wasn’t on the Left, she wrote. Rather, he was “a young white man from a Republican, gun-enthusiast family, who appears to have embraced the far Right.”
It seems that Richardson bought into the theory circulating on the Left that Robinson was a Groyper — that is, a devotee of the far-Right provocateur Nick Fuentes — who killed Kirk for the sin of insufficient reactionary radicalism. Even in the fog of speculation and conjecture that necessarily follows such a shocking event, informed observers recognized that this theory was, generously, bereft of evidence. At the same time, evidence was already accumulating that Robinson had Left-wing motivations.
The European Parliament will next week take a major step towards deciding whether Italian MEP Ilaria Salis should face trial in Hungary for her alleged role in a series of violent Antifa-linked attacks in Budapest.
Salis, 41, was arrested and imprisoned in Hungary in 2023 for participating in a series of attacks organised by the Hammerbande (Hammer Gang), a German left-wing militant group linked to Antifa. The members of the group surrounded and bludgeoned nine innocent people—who the attackers decided “looked like” neo-Nazis based on their choice of clothing—with telescopic batons and hammers on the streets of Budapest.
Since the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk, legacy media have gone above and beyond to tank what little credibility they had with the broader American public. And that statement could not be more applicable to The Economist.
Late last week, the U.K.-based outlet ran a story attempting to run cover for the spate of leftist-led violence wreaking havoc across the United States. To accomplish this feat, the piece highlighted several “studies and datasets … largely compiled by researchers whom s[k]eptical conservatives would probably dismiss as biased” to “suggest that the killing of Mr Kirk is not representative of broader trends.”
If you hear a strange, high-pitched screeching sound blowing in from the west on the salty Atlantic winds, it’s probably the keening of Blue America. Spare a thought for these souls – they are collectively finding out what it feels like to be on the receiving end of cancel culture. Turns out, it doesn’t feel great.

The bullet that killed Charlie Kirk came from a casing engraved with the nonsensical-sounding phrase, “notices bulges OWO what’s this?” For certain factions of the extremely online, however, it was an inside joke.
It’s a reference to a mid-2010s meme parodying furries, the online subculture who role-play as anthropomorphic animals. Three other casings featured inscriptions that invoke a mishmash of memes and video games, spurring Utah Governor Spencer Cox to conclude that the alleged shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was radicalized by social media and the “deep dark internet.”

“DMs open if anybody wanna share some gore,” the anonymous account says in an online forum, buried in the depths of the internet.
Less than an hour later the user posts a video of a catastrophic road accident. A man lies unconscious against the wreckage of a car, surrounded by debris and blood. Next to him a young woman with long black hair screams. Her face is splintered in two by a cavernous wound. These are likely to be her final moments of life.
“Amazing that she [is] still screaming tho,” the user — identified only as Seb — writes.

On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Source,” Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) stated that she reposted a video saying Charlie Kirk was Dr. Frankenstein and assassinated by his own monster “Because there were a lot of things in the video that I did agree with. Obviously, we share videos, we don’t have to agree with every single word, but I do believe he was a reprehensible, hateful man.”

Progressive star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tore into Charlie Kirk during a speech on Capitol Hill after Congress voted to honor the late conservative activist.
The House passed a resolution to honor Kirk and his legacy on Friday. It received broad bipartisan support, passing 310 – 58, with Democratic leadership voting for it.
AOC, along with other ‘Squad’ members, Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., voted against the measure.
AOC just sent an email attacking Charlie Kirk, calling his views “ignorant” and claiming they “sought to disenfranchise millions.”
This comes right after she voted no on a resolution honoring his legacy and calling it a “great pain” to Americans.

Tyler Robinson was Antifa, into alphabet ideology, had a furry boyfriend, and hated Charlie Kirk. He inscribed Antifa messages on his bullets and all his friends and family said he had veered far left over the past few years.
But National Public Radio can’t detect a political motive for his assassination of Charlie Kirk because we don’t know what he thought about labor issues and immigration policy.

It’s his admirers’ adulation, not the court’s decision to toss first-degree murder charges, that should concern us most.
Luigi Mangione appeared to get off easy on Tuesday. The judge overseeing his New York State prosecution tossed first-degree murder charges against Mangione, who stands accused of shooting health-care executive Brian Thompson in Manhattan. Outside, scores of adoring onlookers cheered for the apparent murderer.
Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension was his own fault. The ABC late night host’s mean-spirited commentary disguised as comedy drove conservatives away. Kimmel was completely unconcerned with this development, but his desire to turn his show into a liberal echo chamber might prove to be his downfall because when he claimed that conservatives were desperately trying to “characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them,” ABC felt they had no choice but to take him off the air.
The House of Representatives passed a resolution on Friday condemning political violence and honoring Charlie Kirk, but nearly a hundred Democrats refused to support it. The final tally was 310-58, with every Republican voting in favor and 96 Democrats either voting against it or refusing to take a stand at all by voting present. That raw number is impossible to ignore: Close to 100 Democrats balked at denouncing political violence when the resolution also praised Kirk’s legacy.
