Marching in pussy hats, baring their breasts to save the earth, fighting with ICE agents, declaring themselves “nasty,” feminist women today are self-evidently the least contented and most rancorous women in America, preoccupied with victimhood, consumed by the politics of despair, and experiencing higher rates of depression (and corresponding anti-depressant use) than non-feminist women.

It is logical to conclude that feminism causes female unhappiness by encouraging ingratitude, paranoia, and reckless rage.

Progressive women embrace Maine’s Nazi-tattooed dude-bro Senate candidate

Having spent the last two weeks vacationing in Maine, I had the dubious pleasure of cognitive proximity to the successful bloom of Graham Platner mania. Platner is the “dude-bro” Maine Democrats are putting their money on for the Senate midterm win. The alleged philandering, women-bullying, military-comrade insulting, AR-15-owning, F-word-spewing, fake working class populist with no political experience won 72 per cent of the vote.

Andrew Stiles of the Washington Free Beacon described Platner as “a bearded scumbag with a Nazi tattoo and a vanity oyster farm.” (Most, if not all, of his oysters go to his mom’s restaurant.) Stiles reminds us that Platner has also fantasized about raping burglars to show dominance (“not in a gay way,” you understand) and admitted to masturbating in porta-potties. There’s more, but I have other points to make and breakfast to keep down.

The case of Matt Taylor and #Shirtstorm was the last straw for me.

In 2014, a chorus of angry women and their male enablers roasted British astrophysicist Matt Taylor for wearing an “inappropriate” shirt for a historic occasion. Taylor was part of a European Space Agency team, the Rosetta Mission, that sent a probe four billion miles through space to land on a comet, a journey of ten years.

As the mother of sons, I wish we didn’t spend quite so much time knocking young men. TV talking points like Louis Theroux’s Inside the Manosphere have focussed our attention on problematic blokes to such an extent that few pose an important question: What’s up with the femosphere? It seems that for every male who’s found his mentor in Andrew Tate or the late Charlie Kirk, there’s a young woman who’s been radicalised by Greta Thunberg and AOC (Democrat congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to you and me). On both sides of the Atlantic, polling shows young women are far more likely to skew Left than their male counterparts. It’s fair to say this emerging female cohort seems to live in ceaseless dread and fury of fossil fuels, Elon Musk, toxic masculinity, TERFs and neo-Nazis.

Young Canadian men more likely to say gender equality has gone ‘far enough’

Canadian adult men under the age of 35 are more likely to say gender equality has gone “far enough” and hold traditional views of gender roles than the general population, new polling data suggests.

The Ipsos data found 57 per cent of young males surveyed think Canada has done enough in giving women equal rights to men, compared to 40 per cent of Canadians overall.

There’s a clip going around where some obnoxious woman decides that a guy walking out of a Quik-i-Mart is a nice guy and she takes it upon herself, being the heroine and the main character of the epic saga that is her life, to knock his cup of coffee from his hands. He’s a fairly big guy, fit, and he doesn’t lay her out across the parking lot with a right cross. It’s not that she doesn’t deserve it – she does. It’s that he is still defaulting to the male role in a chivalry system that no longer exists. This dumb woman is relying on the very guardrails she has bulldozed; she’s going to try it again, and this time she’s going to lose a bunch of teeth.

Women Are More Likely Than Men to Endorse Political Violence

When we talk about political violence, we almost always assume that its perpetrators are young men. That makes sense: men are statistically more likely to engage in physical aggression and get arrested for violent crimes at higher rates. At the same time, many are dealing with rising unemployment, declining educational achievement, and growing social disengagement. Given all that, researchers may reasonably assume that young men are driving greater tolerance for political violence.

New data complicate that assumption. A recent survey by the Network Contagion Research Institute at Rutgers found that under certain conditions, women were more likely than men to express support for political violence. The findings were so counter to the prevailing narrative that they surprised even the researchers.
