Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has delivered a sharp criticism of Europe’s mass immigration policies, declaring that Sweden and France have been severely damaged by the arrival of foreigners.
Frederiksen’s remarks have attracted considerable attention in neighbouring Sweden, where her increasingly restrictive approach to immigration contrasts with the policies traditionally pursued by the country’s Social Democrats, who lead the leftist coalition that won the September parliamentary election by three seats, largely driven by the immigrant vote.
