The Financial Times (FT) recently published a piece called “Why is the far right so obsessed with knights?,” about UK patriots who have had enough of the scourge of mass immigration, written by Elise Morrison, a Cambridge PhD candidate “researching medieval culture and contemporary society.” Coincidentally, medieval culture and contemporary society are serious interests of my own. So I was curious to see how this Left-wing publication would frame the answer to Morrison’s question.
