Until further notice, transgender medical treatments for minors will continue in Alberta.

In December, Alberta amended its Health Professions Act to prohibit doctors from prescribing hormone therapy and puberty-suppressing drugs to minors in the course of treating gender-related psychological disorders. The law hadn’t come into force, however, and the government was planning to release an order allowing exceptions to the rule.

Stacey Abrams: Trump Taking Steps to Cancel Elections in the U.S.

During an appearance on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Monday, failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams alleged President Donald Trump was taking steps to cancel elections in the United States.

Abrams outlined 10 steps to guest host Anthony Anderson in her book, which she was promoting, that would ultimately lead to an “autocracy.”

Elon Musk’s company removes posts praising Hitler from Grok chatbot

Elon Musk’s company xAI removed social media posts by its chatbot on Tuesday after complaints from X users and the Anti-Defamation League that it had produced content with antisemitic stereotypes and praise for Adolf Hitler.

The Grok chatbot, which answers questions from users on Musk’s X social media platform, had produced some “inappropriate” responses which had to be deleted, the company said.

Donald Trump claims he threatened to “bomb the s— out of Moscow” if Russia invaded Ukraine during his first term, according to new leaked audio.

“With Putin I said: ‘If you go into Ukraine, I’m going to bomb the s— out of Moscow. I’m telling you I have no choice’,” Mr Trump told a group of donors before last year’s presidential election.

“And then [Putin] goes, like, ‘I don’t believe you’. But he believed me 100 per cent.”

Polish farmers on protest since mid-May against EU green policies have left their posts in the town of Szczecin, close to the German border, to join the growing Civic Border Defense Movement against the German federal police’s unlawful migrant dumping operations.

Despite PM Donald Tusk reinstating temporary checks on the German border earlier this week—after weeks of initially dismissing the concern as unfounded, right-wing “hysteria”—the scandal and growing diplomatic dispute have not subsided.

Southport inquiry to consider curfews for ‘potential criminals’

The measures would allow judges to impose restrictions including electronic tags and a ban on internet use on anyone suspected of planning violent crimes

The Southport inquiry will examine whether courts should be allowed to impose sweeping restrictions on people suspected of planning serious violent offences, even if they have not committed any crime.

Opening proceedings on Tuesday at Liverpool town hall, Sir Adrian Fulford, the chair, said the inquiry will consider whether the state should have powers to impose curfews, electronic tags, internet bans and limits on social media use for individuals deemed to pose a risk of serious harm.

Toronto has unveiled its website for those seeking “bubble zones” limiting protests within 50 metres of schools, daycares and places of worship — but it’s the unexpected group of city employees tasked with enforcing the controversial new rules that’s raising some eyebrows on council.

The legislation was more than a year in the making and was the subject of recurring debate at city hall before being approved in May.

This is a bad joke.
