Washington Post journalists should learn to code

Last week, some of our best and brightest journalists in the field of left-wing propaganda faced something even more terrifying than front-row seats to the Melania documentary: They were fired from their jobs. The Washington Post announced it would be laying off one-third of its workforce as part of its ridiculously selfish bid to stay afloat.

Now, if you were to look at other left-wing propaganda journalists who (for now) remain employed, you’d think this was the worst news in the world. “The Murder of The Washington Post,” wrote The Atlantic’s Ashley Parker, “Jeff Bezos Killed the Washington Post,” declared Slate’s Alex Kirshner, while MS NOW — formerly MSNBC — published Zeeshan Aleem’s opinion column titled: “The Washington Post bloodletting symbolizes our great media crisis.”

Joe Rogan comparing ICE to the Gestapo may be a turning point for ̷T̷r̷u̷m̷p̷ Joe Rogan

Who’s the “mainstream media” these days?

The traditional (i.e. up to maybe a year ago) answer would be: it’s the New York Times, the Washington Post, CBS, NBC, the BBC and so on. In Canada it would certainly include the CBC, the Toronto Star and that other “national newspaper” (the name slips my mind).

Wrong then, and certainly wrong now. Measured by audience, influence, whatever metrics you want to use as a gauge of a dominant “mainstream” media operation, the answer today surely must include, maybe even start with, Joe Rogan.

Rogan has demonstrated a tendency to bend with the wind in the past.

He has become a celebrity talk show host (Interview with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck) and consequently a part of the establishment media.

In 2 or 3 years  he’ll be the new Howard Stern.

Here’s How The Media Are Lying Right Now: New York Times ‘Analysis’ Edition

There’s a helpful new way to determine whether the dying news media are lying: Simply look for some variation of the phrase, “according to a New York Times analysis.”

The Times itself has repeatedly relied on that little trick to cast blame on the Trump administration in the death of the angry anti-ICE leftist now identified as Renee Nicole Good. She was shot in Minneapolis last week after recklessly flooring it in her SUV in the middle of the street while disrupting a law enforcement operation.

Rightwing bloggers and Maga minions: meet the Trump-loving Pentagon press corps

After US troops swarmed into Venezuela, seizing the country’s president and his wife, there was little to be heard from the Pentagon.

Typically, it would be a time for defense officials to talk to the Pentagon press corps: a group of journalists made up of some of the most talented reporters in the US. The Pentagon could have been expected to be held to account over what has been criticized as a violation of international law.

Under the Trump administration, that didn’t happen.

The TDS infested MSM are a cut and paste crew who literally lie to the American public.

New Year’s in Abu Dhabi

CNN isn’t a real news network, but on New Year’s Eve it can be pleasant to have it on while you’re doing other things – so that every hour, on the hour, you can look at the screen for a couple of minutes and see the arrival of the midnight hour celebrated with fireworks in one world capital after another.

To be sure, when the new year arrives in the Middle East, things on CNN start to get – well – a bit curious. This year, CNN’s coverage from the Gulf region was based in Abu Dhabi and hosted by CNN veteran Becky Anderson, who, during the several years she’s been living in that city, has been promoting it, and the United Arab Emirates generally, with a consistently fervid intensity. Her conduct on New Year’s Eve was no exception to the rule: even more than celebrating the New Year, Anderson’s assigned job for the evening seemed to be to celebrate the Gulf autocracies, especially the UAE.

Here Are The 10 Biggest Media Hoaxes Of 2025

It turns out that when you spend every day parroting the most asinine conspiracies and narratives imaginable, people lose faith in your ability to play it straight pretty quickly. That’s the situation that America’s propaganda media found themselves in this year, as their credibility amongst the public hit the lowest level in recorded history.

For anyone who’s paid attention to their coverage of the 2025 “news” cycle, it’s not hard to see why. From running cover for leftist violence to gaslighting Americans about their role in the cover-up over Joe Biden’s ailing health, the corporate media’s bid to hide the truth was nothing short of remarkable.

Screw-Ups, Shutdowns, and Soros: Here’s Our Ten Most-Read Stories of 2025

2025 marked a year of arguably unparalleled success for the NewsBusters team seeing as how, along with chronicling the best and worst in daily and long-term liberal media bias, we helped see to a successful conclusion a decades-long fight to defund National Public Radio (NPR) and PBS.

In addition to President Trump’s successful media lawsuits and changes inside CBS News, the NewsBusters team was proud to take credit for the suspension of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel plus the May 2026 cancellation of CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

WORST OF 2025: The Craziest Analysis Award

It was a challenging task, but an esteemed panel of NewsBusters editors, led by MRC President David Bozell and MRC’s Vice President for Research and Publications Brent Baker, boiled down all the biased outbursts from lefty hack hosts, anchors, reporters and pundits in 2025 and on December 17 announced The Media Research Center Award for Worst Quote of the Year.

Of course, every year, there is way too much bias for just one category. So we broke down the Worst of 2025 into five additional categories (The Craziest Analysis Award; The Trashing Trump Award; The Damn Those Conservatives Award; The ICE Breakers Award for Hating Trump’s Deportation Policy; and the Celebrity Freak-Outs Award).

Bari Weiss doubles down on pulling 60 Minutes deportation story

CBS News Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss has offered more insight about her last-minute decision to shelve a segment on the ‘brutal and tortuous conditions’ at a prison in El Salvador where the Trump administration has deported illegal immigrants.

Weiss, 41, told colleagues that she spiked the segment simply because it ‘did not advance the ball’ during the network’s typical 9am editorial call on Monday, The New York Times reported.

She pointed out how the the Times and other publications have ‘previously done similar work’ while maintaining that fresh, through-provoking content was her ‘north star.’
