Canada’s continued prosperity in an increasingly dangerous and disordered world depends on the rules-based international order maintained by the United States and the alliance it leads — a system Ottawa played an integral role in building and that Canadians greatly benefit from. Canada’s allegiance is thus to the West, not to the “ axis of outcasts “: Russia, Iran, North Korea and Syria. So why do “progressives” keep regurgitating these countries’ talking points and advancing their interests?
A spokesman for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Military Wing warned there will be more attacks in Israel and abroad, adding the violence so far is “only a tiny example of the horrors that await you.” The warning comes after Hamas terrorists attacked Israel over the weekend, killing 1,200 people – primarily civilians – and wounding thousands more.

Toronto Police have all eyes on any hate directed toward the Jewish community right now but did not expect that would include people from within their own ranks.
The police service has been forced to investigate two of its own officers for potential hate material spread on social media.

Any Canadian Muslims who voted for Justin Trudeau should be shamed, says a longtime imam in Victoria who on Wednesday called Israel “a terrorist, illegal, occupying, settler, murdering, apartheid state.”
Younos Kathrada, head of Muslim Youth of Victoria, this week used his public Facebook platform to attack “sellout imams” who have stood ”front and centre” in photos with Trudeau. One of Kathrada’s followers comments: “May Allah give him (Trudeau) what he deserves.”
Hamas’s October 7 war on Israel did not surprise those who have been following the actions of Iran and its regime-backed Islamist terror group since it was founded in late 1987.

Since 2011, Israel’s vaunted Iron Dome has saved countless lives and made its citizens feel safe under its security blanket. Now, as this piece is going to press, Hezbollah in Lebanon is attacking Israel from the north.
The Israel Defense forces stepped up preparations Thursday for a ground offensive into the Gaza Strip to destroy the terror group as the death toll from Hamas’s massive onslaught passed 1,300. The military also said there were signs that Hamas was preparing for an extended conflict with Israel.
Israel is six days into a war with Hamas following the Palestinian terror group’s shock assault on Israeli communities in an early morning raid on Saturday. Over 1,300 people — most of them civilians — were killed, according to the latest toll, more than 3,300 injured, and an estimated 200 were captured and taken to the Gaza Strip. Their fate is not yet known.
As the slow, tortuous process of identifying bodies continues, funeral after funeral is being held across Israel for soldiers and civilians as the country reels from the mass infiltration and massacres of men, women, children, elderly people and hundreds of young partygoers at a music festival.

The threat from the founder of Hamas calling for all followers around the world to dedicate their “blood and souls” to Palestine on Friday is being taken seriously here in Toronto.
As the calendar heads into Friday the 13th of October, Toronto Police are ready. Chief Myron Demkiw has made it clear there will be an “increased police presence at places of worship.”
The Jerusalem Post can now confirm based on verified photos of the bodies that the reports of babies being burnt and decapitated in Hamas’s assault on Kfar Aza are correct. May their memory be a blessing.
The photos were shown to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during his visit to Israel on Thursday by the Public Diplomacy Directorate in the Prime Minister’s Office. Later in the day, the photos were published by the Prime Minister’s Office on Twitter. The photos are graphic and have a content warning covering them until a button reading “show” is pressed.
I was proud when my son, then aged three, wore his kippa (Jewish skullcap) for the first time. We placed the kippa on his head and told him what it meant to be a Jew. ‘Mazel tov!’ we said as we hugged each other, prayed, and sung. We wondered hopefully what he might become – a rabbi, a doctor, an accountant – and we laughed and sung some more. A blessing on your head, mazel tov, mazel tov!
He’s now 17, and for the first time in his life was asked this week to cover his kippa up. An email from his school in London suggested that, in light of Hamas’s attack on Israel and the backlash in Britain, it might be wise not to wear it in public.
This is not an uncommon occurrence, Jews have been warned about “displays of faith” in France, Germany and Sweden and elsewhere at various times over the last few years, really it’s anywhere a significant Muslim population exists.
