The coverage in the United States of the war between Israel and Hamas is comically lopsided in the Palestinians’ favor. That much is not in question. But the reasons for the disparity are worth teasing out.

When Hamas attacked Israel in a genocidal pogrom targeting men, women, and children, it was not the start of a war with the traditional goals of strategic victory or conquest, but a war to annihilate the Jewish People.

Let’s tell it like it is: The Arab/Israeli conflict has never been about self-determination for Palestinian-Arabs, who have no historical footprint or ancient pedigree in the land, but about the destruction of Israel and extermination of the Jews, whose ancestral connection to their homeland is, unlike Palestinian Arab claims, incontrovertible.

The root of the conflict – the true basis that nobody wants to acknowledge – is the doctrinal hatred of Jews.

I have avoided a thorough reading or viewing of the Hamas atrocities on Oct 7. I know enough of what evil is and what can be done to the human body, especially that of vulnerable children and girls, that I don’t need all the graphic detail.

On Monday 23 October, at the IDF Glilot military base in Herzliya, alongside at least 100 journalists, I was invited to a screening, exclusive to international media. We were warned in advance that the materials we were going to see would be raw and unedited footage, including documentation of murder and other visually gruesome materials. We were also informed that we would not be allowed to bring phones or any other recording devices into the screening auditorium. However, we were allowed to write about what we saw.

A few days ago, Julien Bensimhon, a Parisian lawyer, fell into conversation with a Jewish neighbour in the staircase of the building where his practice is located: she wanted to know whether it was safe to continue to display a mezuzah, a traditional decorative case, on the front door of her flat. “She is really worried that people will come and attack her,” he said.

Bensimhon understood: he, too, is Jewish, and members of his own family were among the 70,000 French Jews deported from the country during the Second World War and murdered by the Nazis.

Protesters dressed as Hamas terrorists, praising Hitler and carrying antisemitic placards who “would not have looked out of place in Nazi Germany” are being hunted by police amid anger at the failure to intervene during the pro-Palestinian march on Armistice Day.

A woman marched through central London carrying a placard featuring the Jewish Star of David intertwined with a swastika above the slogan, “No British politician should be a ‘friend of Israel’”.

… Gould says the situation has left her and others feeling that the nature of antisemitism in Canada has changed and threats to the Jewish community have increased.

Yea sure, it changed overnight, what a mystery. That translates as “Oh Crap we can’t blame anti-semitism on white men anymore.”

For all those who pushed Multiculturalism, Diversity and DEI and called those who disapproved of Muslim immigration “Racists” enjoy the “Changed Antisemitism”.

Hamas’s assault on southern Israel began with a barrage of rockets, sending scores of people into roadside refuges. Then gunmen came to hunt them.

Nearly 30 young people took refuge inside a grimy bunker on the morning of Oct. 7, hoping the reinforced-concrete shelter near the border with Gaza would fulfill its promise of protection.

But just after 7:40 a.m., when a group of Hamas assailants, armed with assault rifles and grenades, attacked the shelter near Kibbutz Re’im in southern Israel, the very characteristics that made the tiny fortress a refuge from incoming rockets turned it into a deathtrap for those inside.

In less than an hour, after a desperate defense that included throwing live grenades back at their attackers, more than a dozen of the shelter’s occupants had been killed, their bodies blown apart and riddled with bullets. Others, dazed and injured, were taken to Gaza as hostages.

Who will rule Gaza once the war is over? Israel, so far, hasn’t provided an answer. The country’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been clear that his aim is to wipe out Hamas. He said this week that Israel will claim responsibility for security in Gaza for an “indefinite period,” in order to stop Hamas from rearming and establish long-term security. But Israel is unlikely to have the stomach to stay in Gaza as casualties mount. So who will step into this vacuum?

In January 2021, Iran was on the verge of economic asphyxiation, barely able to continue financing Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hamas. The Abraham Accords outlined the prospect of regional peace, and Saudi Arabia was considering joining the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kosovo, Morocco and Sudan. Israel was a respected regional power.

Russia had not yet invaded Ukraine. Chinese President Xi Jinping was not threatening Taiwan.

On Friday, The Washington Post reported that journalists by the hundreds are signing a petition demanding that all media outlets should describe Israel in hateful terms, including “apartheid,” “ethnic cleansing,” and “genocide.” In other words, they want all news accounts to sound like an “eradicate Israel” rally.

But the Post used the most anodyne words for this radical petition. On the front page of the Style section, it said “Journalists sign letter protesting war coverage.” On an inside page, it was “Letter calls for precise terminology.” Are they too afraid to put “apartheid” and “genocide” in the headline?

Last week, Ben Shapiro engaged an audience at Cambridge University. In his short presentation that opened into an extended question and answer session, he defined and argued against the moral code which Hamas and its enablers use to justify its orgiastic spree of murder, rape, torture, and kidnapping in all of its sadistic horror.

“The CRIF has expressed concern regarding the remarks made by the President of the Republic in his interview with the BBC,” the umbrella organization for French Jewry said in a tweet on Saturday night. French President Emmanuel Macron said on Friday that Israel is killing women and children in Gaza, in an interview he gave to the BBC at his official residence.

“De facto – today civilians are being bombed,” Macron claimed. “These babies, these women, these old people are being bombed and killed. So there is no reason for it and no legitimacy. So we do plead with Israel to stop.”

Macron sits on an Islamist powder keg. No doubt he’s afraid.

“Diversity” is the beach where old European whales go to die.

A Minister of the Family begins to criticize the “sexist and racist” fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, explaining that she reads the “correct” versions of children’s stories to her daughter. This continues at a university that cancels the name of Kaiser Wilhelm, then the Foreign Ministry that changes the name of the Bismarck Hall, the city of Cologne that eliminates the cathedral from its logo, the State Ballet that cancels “The Nutcracker” and a school that after 600 years abandons Christmas celebrations to adopt “a sensitive approach”.

The moment you adopt political correctness you begin the journey of no return to the beach of the old whales.
