Recent decisions to approve soft-porn and sexually explicit content for kids is being justified via the glitter of ‘rainbow politics’. It follows a new social ideology that says children must be exposed to queer adult sexual behaviours – including kink – and those who oppose risk being labelled as hate-fuelled bigots.

Unlike for Britney, public self-destruction wasn’t an option

Ellen Page — a person who no longer exists, and who by strict application of the rules of gender identity never existed — became famous at the height of an exceptionally dark era for young women and fame. In 2007, Britney Spears shaved her head, Paris Hilton went to prison and Lindsay Lohan was arrested for the first time. And that year, the movie Juno introduced 20-year-old Page to the world as the title character, a 16-year-old who gets pregnant and decides to have the baby.

When I was a kid, whenever I would act up the common threat was that I would be packed up and shipped off to military school within the week. To be fair, my parents were left-wing pacifists and I suppose in their minds that would have been the direst of consequences. But I remember thinking at the time that it wasn’t such a bad idea. It would have been superior in many respects to what I was learning, and the photos always showed these majestic campuses in some bucolic setting. Maybe New England. Plus, girls dig a man in uniform. Or so I’m told. Homeschooling wasn’t a big thing back then, and the stereotypes surrounding it were already cemented in place. And my parents were “intentional” about their beliefs. That meant dragging me to cultural events that I didn’t understand and making me eat health food that I despised.

A trans activist who forced a female-only, compulsory-nude spa to admit transgender women with penises was branded ‘malignant’ and a liar by a lawyer for the spa over claims she lied about visiting the facility before complaining.

Haven Wilvich has been accused of lying that she visited the Olympus Spa in early 2020 to ask whether trans women with penises could be admitted.

She now claims to have made the enquiry over the phone instead. Wilvich complained to Washington State’s Human Rights Commission after being told only trans women who’d had gender reassignment surgery would be admitted.

Over the past few weeks, the mainstream media has been getting a little worried. This year, “Pride Month” is getting substantially more backlash than it usually does. Some sports players have stated that they do not want to wear LGBT jerseys or participate in LGBT events. Canada has had several of the largest protests against gender ideology it has ever seen – within a single week. Dissident journalists and public intellectuals are pushing back, with several high-profile victories – in state legislatures and the U.K.’s National Health Service – adding fuel to the fire.

It’s difficult these days to escape the transgender front of the culture war. Detransitioners — those who identified as transgender and underwent social and medical transitions only to reverse course later — are the latest group the left is accusing the right of deploying, while the right says we ought to take them as a warning.

For several months now, the UK has been realising the seriousness of the facts concerning the administration of puberty blockers to minors, particularly in the wake of the scandal that rocked the Tavistock clinic specialising in gender transitions. The UK’s National Health Service has just made the decision to severely restrict minors’ access to puberty blockers—which will be limited to “exceptional circumstances.”

In July 2022, the NHS demanded the closure of the Tavistock clinic on the grounds that the treatments provided there were inappropriate and sometimes even dangerous for children. Now, as of this past Friday, June 9th, the NHS has broadened the lessons from Tavistock to apply to all clinics treating gender identity disorders.
