Broadcaster Keith Olbermann has become ever more embittered and isolated as his work and influence have dried up, with former colleagues worried he needs “serious help,” The Post has learned.
Olbermann, 66, railed against members of the Trump administration on social media this week as well as threatening conservative CNN commentator Scott Jennings with “you’re next motherf—er,” in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
The Department of Homeland Security had warned about radicalization threats posed to youth audiences within certain online platforms, such as Discord, over seven months before the murder of Charlie Kirk.
The warning came in a January intelligence assessment, according to documents shared with the Washington Examiner.
The American Left has a long history of celebrating or excusing purveyors of mayhem.
In 2011, Martin McGuinness, the former leader of the Provisional IRA (Irish Republican Army), ran for president of the Republic of Ireland. Over the four decades of his public life, McGuinness had moved from supporting terrorism, including assassination, for political ends to pursuing votes through the ballot box. Some now feted him as a “peacemaker.” But to many voters, his personal journey from the use of violence to the use of democratic means to achieve a united Ireland still seemed like a work in progress.
Recently, the National Assessment for Educational Progress (NAEP) released its 2025 report, assessing that there was no educational progress. Called the Nation’s Report Card, NAEP measures math, reading, and science performance in fourth, eighth, and 12th grades. Scores on all three tests administered in 2024 were down from 2019 results.
“Students from the class of 2024 had historically low scores on a major national test administered just months before they graduated,” as one media report described the results. Education Secretary Linda McMahon lamented that the “NAEP results confirm a devastating trend: American students are testing at historic lows across all of K-12.”

Megyn Kelly brutally took down a young liberal student after they tried to blame Charlie Kirk’s murder on ‘rhetoric’ from Donald Trump.
The former Fox News anchor berated the student at a Turning Point USA event on Wednesday, in a Q&A session reminiscent of those that Kirk held before his assassination two weeks ago.
As Kelly hosted the event at Virginia Tech, she faced a question from a student who cited Trump’s controversial remarks at Kirk’s memorial service about ‘hating’ his opponents.

Two Arkansas sisters are begging for money after they were caught on camera trashing a Charlie Kirk memorial and got canned from their jobs.

Why are Middle American families producing monsters?
In the 1960s and 1970s, America witnessed a wave of political terrorism. Left-wing radicals hijacked airplanes, set bombs in government buildings, and assassinated police officers in service of political goals. The perpetrators were almost always organized, belonging to groups like the Weathermen or the Black Liberation Army. These groups demanded the release of prisoners, denounced capitalism, or called for violent revolution against the United States. Their members were radical but largely lucid, justifying their actions with appeals to a higher cause.

Over the last weekend, I was doing some personal research on German POWs here in America. It was just a personal curiosity, really, and nothing more serious than that. While I was doing this, I was also monitoring the Charlie Kirk memorial service. It was from that strange combination of activities that I came to a recognition of something I’ve not seen anyone talk about.
The organization that put Charlie Kirk’s organization on a “hate map” with chapters of the Ku Klux Klan ahead of his assassination last week also has a long history of carrying water for the violent Antifa movement that President Donald Trump has targeted for investigation.
Tyler Robinson, 22, who faces murder charges in the assassination of Kirk, had reportedly adopted leftist political positions and endorsed the transgender movement, according to authorities. His bullet casings reportedly included anti-fascist messaging resonant of Antifa.
