The BBC has admitted it was wrong to invite an influencer who had previously described Jewish people as “lying scumbags” to be a guest on a live television show.
Earlier this month, The Telegraph reported that Bushra Shaikh, who has been accused in the past of making remarks that were anti-Semitic and in support of the Iranian regime, appeared on BBC One’s Sunday Morning Live defending women’s right to wear burkas.
Ms Shaikh said she did not accept her views were anti-Semitic.
