No Worries: Rotherham Man Explodes on Street, Determined to Be a ‘Household Accident’

Rotherham, England, in Yorkshire, seems like one of the picture-postcard British places that the lovely Labour minister insists never existed. You know – the Britain of black labs, warm ale, and pubs. The city of a little over a quarter million people has what looks like a quintessential center, but it quickly gives way to parks and open spaces that roll out into rural farmland beyond.

The city sits at the confluence of two rivers and has been a bustling settlement site since the early Iron Age and into the Roman occupation. It earned its Market Charter, or the legal right to hold markets or fairs, from King John in 1207.
