A museum has been accused of ‘rewriting history’ after it told visitors that boys in the Victorian era who wore dresses could be gender fluid.
The Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle, County Durham, claimed ‘gender fluidity is not a recent development’ because some boys aged between four and seven wore dresses in the 19th century.
Despite admitting the outfits were worn for ‘practical reasons’, the museum compared the fashion trend, known as breeching, to a modern version of gender nonconformity.

Rep. Swalwell facing Manhattan DA investigation for sexual assault
The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office will investigate a sexual assault allegation against Rep. Eric Swalwell — the biggest hurdle yet in the Democratic lawmaker’s gubernatorial bid in California.
A former staffer said she was inebriated after drinking with Mr. Swalwell in 2024, when she woke up to him having sex with her in his New York City hotel room.
“I was pushing him off of me, saying no,” she told CNN. “He didn’t stop.”

But these viral AI videos inspired by the instantly recognisable Lego aesthetic feature dying children, fighter jets and US President Donald Trump – and are in fact pro-Iran propaganda.

Nearly 60% of Canadians support becoming a full member of the European Union, poll says
Nearly three in five Canadians support the idea of Canada joining the European Union, a new poll suggests.
A Nanos Research survey conducted for The Globe and Mail shows that 57 per cent of respondents would either support (28 per cent) or somewhat support (29 per cent) Canada becoming a full member of the EU.
The results also show that 32 per cent of respondents were either opposed or somewhat opposed to the idea, while 12 per cent were unsure.
Maybe those in favour hope they can Schengen their way out of here?

New Brunswick judge reduces man’s sentence so he won’t get deported from Canada
A Nigerian man convicted of breaching a no-contact order with his former partner has convinced a New Brunswick judge to grant him a conditional discharge to avoid deportation.
Adebowale Adekoya, 33, appealed his sentence of 12 months of probation to the Court of King’s Bench.
