UK must treat Trump like a ‘best mate’ who needs correcting, says Sadiq Khan

Sadiq Khan has said the UK should treat Donald Trump like a “best mate” who sometimes needs to be corrected or challenged.

Labour’s Mayor of London, a fierce critic of the President-elect, also said Britain should extend the “hand of friendship” to Mr Trump as he prepares to return to the White House in January.

Mr Khan claimed in the High Performance podcast recorded just before the US election that Mr Trump had criticised him in the past because the Republican was “racist”.

NFL Fines Player For MAGA Hat After Paying Kaepernick Millions Over His Kneeling Stunt

Last week, the NFL fined San Francisco 49ers star defensive end Nick Bosa $11,255 for displaying a “Make America Great Again” hat when he crashed the postgame, on-field interview of teammate Brock Purdy after their Oct. 27 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

This isn’t the first time that the NFL has fined a league employee for making a right-wing political statement. In 2022, Washington Commanders Defensive Coordinator Jack Del Rio was fined $100,000 because he referred to the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6 as a “dustup.” Jan. 6 may not have been a “dustup,” but should an employee be fined $100,000 because he mischaracterized it as such? Is there no freedom of speech left in the NFL?

From canceling Christmas to murdering family members, the Democrats are not coping with Trump’s win very well

In the wake of President Trump’s smashing victory over Kamala Harris, we’ve seen countless leftist meltdowns, many of which were comedic gold; but they’ve also erupted in spiteful hostility, and even murder.

First up, white “liberal writer” Andrea Tate of Huffington Post, who penned an essay for the outlet in which she detailed her growing resentment for her husband… all because he voted for Trump, then had the audacity to make a social media post that read, “God Bless America. God bless #45, 47.” The horror.

Most serious case of TDS you’ll see all day … “The boys in our liberal school are different now that Trump has won”

… But now all that seemed as if it was just the beginning of a new wave of male conservatism that was infiltrating our school. Obsession with achieving a more muscular body through excessive exercise and intense dieting fueled by ridiculous social media campaigns fell far outside the realm of healthy self-care. And the desire to socialize only with other boys stood in stark contrast to the co-ed activities we were accustomed to since childhood.

From the Guardian of course.

I Tell My Sons to Be Kind, But Is It Enough in Trump’s America?

When my two young sons woke up the day after Trump decisively won re-election, my wife and I delivered the news: The candidate we voted for the day before— Kamala Harris—had lost.

My older son, 6, immediately asked us: “What was the final score?”—he had recently experienced the Yankees’ defeat by the Dodgers, so he was no stranger to a hard loss.

Anti-Trump teacher storms out of classroom over student’s MAGA shirt before sending epic email rant

A California teacher reportedly stormed out of her classroom after seeing a student wear a Make America Great Again shirt last week.

The unidentified Spanish teacher at Cerritos High School later sent students a lengthy email in which she argued that MAGA clothes are ‘meant to intimidate both students and teachers’ and called president-elect Donald Trump a ‘fascist.’

Trump is a racist, says race baiter Sadiq Khan

Sadiq Khan has said Donald Trump criticised him in the past because the US president-elect is “racist”.

Mr Khan, the Mayor of London, said that, had he been white, Mr Trump – who won the US election earlier this month – would not have “come for me”.

And he repeated his accusation that Mr Trump’s policies were “sexist, homophobic, Islamophobic, racist”.

Trump’s Triumph Over Jack Smith Sends the Special Counsel Toward Resignation and an Uncertain Future

If Special Counsel Jack Smith resigns before President Trump takes the oath of office for a second time, he will likely take his two criminal cases against the 45th president with him into the sunset.

Mr. Smith was hired by Attorney General Garland in November 2023, two days after Trump declared he would stand again for president. Now, Trump’s success in achieving that goal puts the prosecutor at an impasse born of immunity. The New York Times reports that he “plans to finish his work and resign along with other members of his team” before Trump takes office.

I’m a 31-year-old preschool teacher – I will never have children because Donald Trump is president

A teacher in South Carolina has declared she will not have children for as long as Donald Trump is president.

Kate Medlin, 31, posted a TikTok last week after it appeared Trump would win the election saying she and her fiancé decided they would not be having kids in the next four years, ‘especially in the state we are now.’

However, the preschool teacher added that when Trump leaves office, she’ll be nearly 36 years old, making her a high-risk geriatric pregnancy, which means children are ‘probably never going to happen for me.’

Canada is far from ready for the chaos coming our way

Now that the people of the United States have elected a fascist to lead them – a felon to “take care that the laws are faithfully executed,” an insurrectionist to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution,” a rapist, a racist, and a narcissistic psychopath to hold the country’s highest position of honour – the question on everyone’s lips, naturally, is: what does it mean for Canada?

Andrew Coyne is a mental case.

Margaret Atwood weighs in on U.S. election at Calgary forum … and it goes exactly as you’d expect

Margaret Atwood has been called prescient — particularly when it comes to her famous 1985 dystopia The Handmaid’s Tale and the recent rollback of reproductive rights in the United States — but the renowned Canadian author says her predictive powers failed her ahead of last week’s U.S. election, which delivered Donald Trump another White House win.

“I searched. I invoked, ‘Oh God, let it be sun.’ But it was darkness all around,” she said to laughter Tuesday night at a forum hosted by the Alberta Teachers’ Association, Calgary Catholic Local 55 and Calgary Public Local 38.
