Mystery surrounding Andrew ‘Sandy’ Irvine’s Mount Everest disappearance may finally be SOLVED after climbers make unbelievable discovery on Earth’s highest peak

The partial remains of tragic Mount Everest climber Andrew ‘Sandy’ Irvine are believed to have been found – 100 years after he vanished.

Irvine disappeared aged 22 with his climbing partner, the renowned mountaineer George Mallory, in June 1924 when they were attempting to become the first people to climb the world’s highest peak.

Some experts believe that Irvine and Mallory, 38, might have actually achieved their goal before perishing, because they were last seen approximately 800feet from the summit and could have been descending when they fell.

Florida fire marshal calls electric vehicles “ticking time bombs” amid Hurricane Milton flooding

Storm surges from Hurricane Milton could turn electric vehicles and other products containing lithium-ion batteries into “ticking time bombs,” Florida’s fire marshal warned.

Residents and first responders are being cautioned about “an alarming fire hazard with lithium-ion batteries, EVs, as well as hybrid and fuel cell vehicles in preparation of Hurricane Milton,” according to a Monday statement from Florida fire marshal Jimmy Patronis, who also serves as the state’s chief financial officer.

Hurricane Milton updates: Florida told ‘it’s not over’ after overnight carnage that killed ‘multiple’ and left millions without power

Monster storm Hurricane Milton left a path of destruction across Florida overnight, leaving several people dead and 3million without power as it heads for Orlando and onward to the Atlantic.

The first casualties were reported even before Milton made landfall as a Category 3 storm around 8:30pm EST (1:30am BST), bringing ‘catastrophic’ flooding, 120mph winds and several twisters – some of which proved lethal.

After making landfall, Milton began rumbling east, ripping up everything in its path before ripping apart the roof of Tropicana Field, the home of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team in St. Petersburg.

Milton threatens to reach max limits, sparking calls for a new Category 6 designation for hurricanes

Hurricane Milton is threatening to reach known maximum limits with wind gusts already topping 200 miles per hour — leading to calls for a new Category 6 designation for such a historic superstorm.

“This is nothing short of astronomical,” Florida meteorologist Noah Bergren said late Monday as Milton reached sustained winds of 180 mph and “gusts 200+ mph.”

The clucking nuisance of about 100 feral chickens has left residents of a Norfolk village spitting feathers, with locals claiming the birds destroy their gardens and keep them awake.

Dwellers in Snettisham, Norfolk, have said their life is being made “hell” as the chickens swarm in from a nearby wood. It is unclear who owns the land the chickens live on, but villagers believe numbers have soared recently.

An ambulance collided with a moose early Sunday as it responded to another crash, also involving a moose, Ontario Provincial Police say.

The first crash was reported just after 1 a.m. on Highway 60, near Tea Lake in Algonquin Park, police said. A vehicle struck a moose, left the roadway and then hit a tree.
