America’s liberal media will pay for covering up Biden’s incapacity

The fact that so many ‘serious’ US journalists denied what was obvious to anyone explains why trust in their reporting has collapsed

There are many causes of the breakdown of trust in Western societies. The breakdown of trust in politicians is easy to map. The breakdown of trust in scientific expertise can be pinpointed to a very specific moment – the Covid years. But the breakdown of trust in the media has been a long time coming and is already having long-term consequences.

In the UK just 31 per cent of the public say that they trust the media. In the US it is 39 per cent. Into that gap of trust a lot of charlatans and know-nothings can now roam. But the old media – or at least much of the old media – only has itself to blame.

“For Posterity’s Sake”: Why the Biden-Hur Tapes is a Virtual Racketeering Indictment

“For posterity’s sake.” Those words from President Joe Biden sum up the crushing impact of the leaked audiotapes from the interview between then-President Joe Biden and Special Counsel Robert Hur. Not only did they remove any serious doubt over Biden committing the federal crimes charged against President Donald Trump, but they also constituted what is akin to a political racketeering indictment against much of the Washington establishment.

The interview from Oct. 8-9, 2023, has long been sought by Congress, but was kept under wraps by the government even as Biden campaigned for a second term.

What Top Democrats Said Then, And Now, About Joe Biden’s Decline

The release of a new book by CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson, detailing President Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline during his term in office, has landed like a bomb inside an already disoriented Democratic Party — sending shockwaves through its ranks.

Obtained by Newsweek ahead of its publication on May 20, Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again paints a stark portrait of a presidency in turmoil—and of a leader whose public image of control and clarity masked private struggles with memory, stamina and recognition.

Politico: Democrats Realizing Their Biden Nightmare Is Just Beginning

Good. Now if the Protection Racket Media starts realizing it too, we might actually get somewhere.

For some reason, Democrats apparently never considered what a cover-up on the Joe Biden scale would do to their reputations. The rise of the Now It Can Be Told media literary genre has forced them to reckon with the obvious, which is that (a) everyone knows they lied about Biden’s cognition for years, and (b) no one trusts them. This time the media is too busy distancing itself with The Owen Maneuver to cover for them, as Hakeem Jeffries discovered on CNN earlier this week …

How Joe Biden Handed the Presidency to Donald Trump

President Joe Biden got out of bed the day after the 2024 election convinced that he had been wronged. The élites, the Democratic officials, the media, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama—they shouldn’t have pushed him out of the race. If he had stayed in, he would have beaten Donald Trump. That’s what the polls suggested, he would say again and again.

His pollsters told us that no such polls existed. There was no credible data, they said, to support the notion that he would have won. All unspun information suggested it would have been a loss, likely a spectacular one, far worse than that suffered by his replacement as the Democratic nominee, Vice-President Kamala Harris.

The disconnect between Biden’s optimism and the unhappy reality of poll results was a constant throughout his Administration. Many insiders sensed that his inner circle shielded him from bad news. It’s also true that, for Biden to absorb those poll results, he would have had to face the biggest issue driving them: the public had concluded—long before most Democratic officials, media, and other “élites” had—that he was far too old to do the job.

Biden’s confused BBC interview was devastating for himself and Kamala Harris

The ex-president apparently believes he was just too successful to realise he should step back. He couldn’t even mention his VP’s name

Does Joe Biden blame his vice-president for losing the 2024 election to Donald Trump? He certainly doesn’t take any responsibility himself. And when it comes to Kamala Harris, he can’t even bring himself to say her name.

Biden sat down with the BBC’s Nick Robinson for his first full interview since leaving office. The 82-year-old ex-president was still able to speak pointedly about America’s foreign policy, warning of the dangers of appeasing Russia and abandoning Nato. But when Robinson asked Biden about dropping out of his re-election bid in mid-2024, he got tongue-tied.

Trump appeasing Putin with pressure on Ukraine says senile Biden

Biden is in charge of tapioca

Joe Biden has told the BBC that pressure from the Trump administration on Ukraine to give up territory to Russia is “modern-day appeasement” in an exclusive interview, his first since leaving the White House.

Speaking in Delaware on Monday, he said Russian President Vladimir Putin believed Ukraine was part of Russia and “anybody that thinks he’s going to stop” if some territory is conceded as part of a peace deal “is just foolish”.

Biden, who spoke as Allied nations mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day this week, said he was concerned about US-Europe relations breaking down under President Donald Trump, which he said “would change the modern history of the world”.

I wonder how much the 1st Family of Sleaze got paid for this?

Joe Biden on Trump: ‘What president ever talks like that? That’s not who we are’

In an exclusive and remarkably candid interview – the first since he left office – Joe Biden discusses what he really thinks of his successor’s first 100 days, plus his fears for the future if the Atlantic Alliance collapses.

Biden’s attempt to rewrite history is fooling no one

In his first interview since leaving the White House, Joe Biden accused President Trump of appeasing Russia over Ukraine. Well, Biden certainly knows all about appeasement. It was the hallmark of his presidency and accounts for much of the instability in Europe and the Middle East today.

Before Putin invaded, Biden sent the worst possible signal, seeming to suggest that a “minor incursion” might not be too big a deal. Then when the tanks rolled in he offered to evacuate the leader of the embattled country to safety. That would have been like Roosevelt flying Churchill out of Britain in 1940.

While Publicly Rebuking Russia, Biden Opened 2014 Back Door for Moscow Gas to Flow to Ukraine

While Joe Biden publicly led the charge to punish Russia for its first invasion of Ukraine, he used his role as vice president to quietly open a backdoor for Moscow’s gas to flow to its neighbor in fall 2014, at a time when his son Hunter’s Ukrainian energy company sought such help, according to government messages in a private email account kept from Americans for more than a decade.
