Democrats could very well dominate the midterms, but will it matter?

It looks like the Democrats are headed for a huge victory in the midterms.

This is not surprising: The party in power rarely wins in midterm elections, which often become a referendum on the incumbent administration’s performance. Besides, polling data over the past few months has consistently shown that Donald Trump is deeply unpopular; economic conditions are bad and can be tied directly to Mr. Trump’s unilateral actions on tariffs and the war in Iran. Even in reliably red states like Kansas, Texas, Iowa, and North Carolina, Democrats are in striking distance of an almost unbelievable upset of the electoral map.

Don’t count your mid-term chickens.
