Adolph Hitler’s former Bavarian mountain retreat, the Eagle’s Nest, was burned to the ground by an alleged arsonist on October 23.

My first reaction was, why hadn’t this been done a long time ago? I had no idea it still stood and assumed it had been destroyed after WWII. My second reaction was, wait, I’m against the destruction of historical structures, be they buildings that housed monsters, or statues that represented repression.
