An “endless” world cruise that left Belfast two years ago has ground to a halt, with around 200 passengers ordered to leave with all their belongings.
Villa Vie Odyssey, which was due to circle the globe continuously, has entered “temporary lay-up” in Cambodia, the chief executive of Villa Vie Residences, Kathy Villalba, announced. Residents, who had paid up to £700,000 each to live permanently on the ship, were given seven hours to disembark because the company was “unable to secure the fuel necessary to continue operations”.
This sucks.
