Arecent YouGov survey on the popularity of world leaders, both living and dead, found that just 5% of Republicans had a “very favorable” or “somewhat favorable” opinion of Adolf Hitler, whereas 85% of Republicans surveyed had unfavorable views of him, and 10% “didn’t know.” (Not sure how that 10% is possible today.) Independents polled held virtually identical views of Hitler.
But, what was interesting was that 10% of Democrats had a “very favorable” or “somewhat favorable” view of the Führer.
